  1. Yip... Always been nothing but great people I've dealt with either in person or by post... The feedback part does seem to get forgotten tho.
  2. Hi, Selling my Digitech Sdrum pedal. A bit like a beat buddy but it let's you create your own beats using either the drum pads on the pedal or by strumming muted strings on your guitar or bass. Low strings for kick, high strings for snare. It fills in the rest. There are many options to tailor the beat to your taste. Comes with accompanying FX3S three button footswitch which makes the Sdrum much more flexible... Four buttons is just better than one 👍 Complete with boxes and PSU. Seen very little home use. Was £140 Now £120 including UK postage. (£100 without the footswitch) I could be interested in trades for other pedals... Try me! Collection also welcome in the Edinburgh area.
  3. Yip... They're heavier metal 🙄🤔
  4. Semi pro I would assume is someone who gets some of their income from playing
  5. Nice when you get that kind of service
  6. Last time I was in Chris mcintyres he was talking about them. Might give them a wee turn when my elixirs give up.
  7. I'm in for about £3k. But we spend about the same every year as a couple on booze and meals out... Ne'er mind!
  8. Theres a whole world out there... Just waiting for you! 🌎
  9. I had a clear out of pedals last year cutting down from 9 to just three at one point... Two dirt and a tuner Sold everything and bought the two dirt pedals I was gasing for then replaced the one modulation effect, flanger, that I felt was missing after the clear out. Didn't miss anything else even though they all got used.... Just because they were there. Feel better for it, streamlined my effects chain and had some change to invest in other hobbies. 👍
  10. Fingers is my preference however I am starting to use a pick where it just sounds better.
  11. They deserve a higher fee for a more expensive product. Generally, and I'm not saying in all cases, they will probably sell multiple cheaper units at say £500 to every £3k bass they sell. Potential buyers who are in a position to buy a £3k are harder to find than those with the funds to buy a £1k bass. They all take up the same space in the shop.
  12. I don't see a problem with 15% commission. They are also looking after the instrument whilst in their care, insuring it, advertising it and hopefully using their expertise to find prospective buyers that wouldn't necessarily buy from a Joe blogs on gumtree. Everyone has the option to sell elsewhere if they prefer.
  13. I believe Live Music in Edinburgh may now be closed permenantly
  14. Accountancy discrepancy me thinks 🤔 Tax avoidance.... Shhhhh!
  15. OP's taking a bashing for their buying decision here 🤪
  16. I can see the baseball caps now... Make Blighty Great Again!
  17. Could order one with 'HANDS OFF' printed on the front for leaving guitars on stage in between sets.
  18. I can almost see the point for people, like me, who are too lazy to put their guitar away in a case after playing... But by their very nature would be too lazy, like me, to put this thing on when they finished playing. Yup... It doesn't make sense!
  19. I don't mind at all but I guess there are few fugly headstock that might just turn me away. Sometimes things are so fugly they become beautiful. Eye of the beholder n all that!
  20. I saw him in Edinburgh last ear as part of the free fringe. Very entertaining.
  21. I used to feel like that. I'd turn the volume down when playing with my band so my mistakes didn't stand out. I'd fucus on all my mistakes. Let them get to me. By the time we got to the end of a jam session I could not hear myself play and nor could anyone else. Practicing at home, again, id focus on the mistakes - cos that how you can improve... Eliminate the mistakes. I'd play a lot but completely unstructured. Mainly playing things that sounded good when I played them. After twenty years I had a few lessons and we'll... What can I say... Erm... I'd been doing it wrong. My tutor refocused my mind more than my playing directly. She pointed out the good things about my playing and gave me direction for practice at home so I actually improved the things I wasn't quite so good at. I now play at the volume that's right for the band. I still make mistakes but I don't waste my energy on worrying about them. I have a confidence in my playing that means I relax more and hence I don't make as many mistakes. My issues were fixed by fixing my head. (I'm still not that great but hey ho! 😋)
  22. (Finally) received my Cog Rogue One today. Only had five minutes with it but jeezo I have a huge smile on my face. A seriously good bit of kit. Sounds HUGE! I cannot wait for this week's rehearsal! 👍😁 Need to figure out a way to get rid of the other half tomorrow after work 😁
