  1. Thanks @binky_bass for the kind words..The craftsmanship as you said by Alan Cringean simply as good as it gets πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘
  2. Up for sale here..No trades (sorry) Is a stunning ACG Krell bass, purchased from @Aris on Basschat a couple of months ago..Total Gentleman. This bass is in near as new condition, very very light playing wear, no dents or dings. i believe it was commissioned in 2019..Maybe a member here can supply more information on this? Alan Cringean luthiership is just second to none, just incredible!! As good as I've had the fortune to play/own...Sei, Manson, Shuker etc. I am reluctantly putting this up for sale. It is a joy to play, stunning neck profile. Amazing low action if that is your thing. The bass sounds amazing!!! If you like dialing in your tone, the opportunities are almost endless with the ACG filter preamp..The controls (more pushes and pulls than a church organ..lol) and with the trim pots in the control cavity. If you want to go passive. Brilliant too..Acoustically punchy..You really feel the resonance of the strings running through the bass..The arm rest is incredibly comfy, that is a wonderful touch on this bassπŸ˜ƒπŸ‘ 34 inch scale 1.5 inch nut. Spalt Flame maple top..stunning! Black Walnut body. 5 piece Maple/Wenge/flame Maple/Wenge/ maple neck with a stunning Birdseye Maple fingerboard. Dual action truss rod with 2 Carbon rods. Spalt maple headstock front, Walnut rear headstock with black veneers between. ACG Hipshot Bridge 18mm spacing. Gotoh Resolite Tuners... Pickups ACG. 9V Preamp ACG DFM 4KAP. Dunlop straplocks. ACG toolkit. Hiscox case. Neutrik locking socket. Oil rubbed satin lacquer finish..so easy to play.. These basses will cost in the realms Β£2400 and rightly so with exemplary craftsmanship..This bass in near as new condition for Β£1200!! Shipped to UK only..SO BARGAIN!! Welcome to try out Any questions please ask..πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘
  3. Would just like to say. BARGAIN ALERT!!! Fantastic looking bass and being a Jon Shuker bass, will be an amazing player too!! GLWTSπŸ˜ƒπŸ‘
  4. Ironically enough the first bass I ever owned as a lad!! Purchased late summer from Thompson's electrical store in Edinburgh, with the money I made from my summer job!! Very Early eighties..Tempus Fugit...lolπŸ˜‚ These Kay basses later Cort I believe.. were the business..Think to much sweat destroyed the original pickups on mine!! Then I moved onto a Westone Thunder 1A..I believe I sold the Kay it to another local band who converted it into a Fretless!! If they come up worth an investment in my eyes..With some EMG Geezer pickups..and quality new Hardwear would really cut the mustard..Great job on the bassπŸ€ŸπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘πŸ˜ƒ ps the knob on the pickup selector was pretty much just like thatπŸ‘
  5. Had a B 301F fretless, as close as you will get to a double bass sound. Brilliant!!! The bridge though, nightmareπŸ™ˆ That said, another one I should not have sold..ho hum...
  6. Just had a wonderful transaction on a Dean B2 bass with Sean .A pleasure to do business with..Buy/sell/trade with confidence..A true gentπŸ˜ƒπŸ‘
  7. Hi Ped..Thanks for the heads up Sifam control knobs..Have managed to order some..Good newsπŸ‘πŸ˜ƒ
  8. Yes something like that would be the business!! Beautiful flame maple in the neckπŸ˜ƒ
  9. Hi Ped, Yes it is an out an out beauty and a joy to play..Yes the knobs are not the original but do work, any information on originals always good..thanks. AlanπŸ˜ƒπŸ‘
  10. Is this worth a mention in the Vigier porn thread? My 89 Passion series 111, and my recently acquired 83 Arpege series1 Both are incredible instruments..Took abit of time to find an Arpege series1/11 funnily enough! Delighted to have this and quite possibly the best neck I have played on any bass, just amazing..Coming to terms now with how the electronics work.. Sounds great..In excellent condition, Replacing the cracked back control plate, known Vigier problem..cutting out a bit of plastic to size no big deal..So this is the second Arpege that I have owned..I had a series 1V..Wonderful bass all singing and dancing, the Glokenklang preamp..but I just feel the older through neck models have abit more in my humble opinion..This maybe nearly forty years old but still pretty groundbreaking in my eyes..Now what about a fretless.lolπŸ‘πŸ€ŸπŸ˜ƒ
  11. Just bought a beautiful Vigier Arpege of Mustapha..Total pleasure to do business with!! Great communication throughput our transaction.. buy sell or trade with confidence.More importantly Great bloke too!πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘
  12. Primitive by the Joke says it All. Youths Bassline sums it up and simplistic genius πŸ˜ƒπŸ€ŸπŸ‘Š
  13. NEW MODEL ARMY... VENGANCE!! Maybe post punk..but doesn't get any better than this..Stuart Morro with his very distinctive style..eddgy!! Song just makes me think of Matt Hancock and his lies and cronyism🀬 EnjoyπŸ€ŸπŸ‘πŸ˜ƒ https://youtu.be/53IAhyQSKmQ
  14. Just bought a beautiful bass of Mustapha, mustafunk..Brilliant communications throughout the whole sale..Highly recommended seller and a great guyπŸ˜ƒπŸ€ŸπŸ˜ƒπŸ‘
  15. Hi there Sam, the eq doesn't cover the Piezo just a volume for that,Piezo by itself great for tapping, but when combined with the magnetic jazz pickups becomes a tone monterπŸ‘πŸ˜ƒ..
  16. https://www.yumpuhttps://www.yumpu.com/en/document/read/42841449/brian-b2-bill-lewington-ltd.com/en/document/read/42841449/brian-b2-bill-lewington-ltd I found this old review by Stuart Clayton in Bassist magazine when I bought my first Dean B2, new direct from Bill Lewington at the the time..because of the fantastic review Stuart gave it!! I am open to offers for this great bass. It needs to sell and find a good home, It's a real players bass.I would personally say though, that it is a "slappers delight!!!" in the bass termsπŸ˜ƒπŸ‘
  17. Dean B2 Bromberg signature 4 string..FOR SALE ONlY Now only Β£320 shipped..Bargain of bargains this!! Give away at this price, for this quality!! πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘ Reluctantly putting this wonderful bass up for sale..This is the second one of these I have owned after regretting selling the first one!! Why? I am funding a new bass and needs must..These are super rare. I believe because owners find them to good and versatile. I have not seen one for sale in the open market for 5 years!! I have been fortunate in my past to have owned a Peavey B Quad, which this bass is based upon, and bar for the Modulus neck the Dean wins the race hands down in my humble opinion, much more versatile!! Amber burst finish, Brass nut 1.5 inch, weight 8.7lbs, 34 scale, Grover tuners, Dean Jazz pickups, fishman bridge with Piezo saddles, Abalone B2 on the 12th fret, 24 frets all fully accessible due to deep cutaways on the bass. Basswood body, Beautiful flame maple top and peghead veneer, maple neck with walnut stringers and rosewood fingerboard. Controls, considerably easier to use than to look at. lol.By pickups front to back. Master Volume, Piezo Volume, selector switch, magnetic only/Magnetic and Piezo/Piezo..Back knobs. Stacked lower Bass cut/boost top treble cut/ boost. Middle knob..stacked knob at front, top volume bridge pickup lower volume neck pickup..This makes the bass capable of literally all styles of playing..Oh and yes really cuts into the mix.. A true joy to play jazz style neck.. Overall excellent condition for a 12 year old bass, a few dings, nothing major. neck pristine.Battery box latch works fine but plastic clasp chewed.. These basses new were Β£700-Β£800 new..and rightly so..This is anything but a low end budget bass, Think very top of the range Ibanez..I am asking Β£400 but in reality as they donk come up at all. I don't honestly know..I need to sell so don't be shy make me an offer.I can but say yes or no?πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘ Will ship to mainland UK for Β£20 Any questions, please ask. Cheers.
  18. Have just completed a sale of a Bassline Buster to Stuart..Absolute pleasure to do business with throughout. Deal in confidence with StuartπŸ‘πŸ˜ƒ
