  1. To be fair it is common on older Vigiers to have hairline cracks by the jack socket! Fantastic price on this series 111 passion..Super comfortable and slim neck, and they sound truly amazing.. Tempted, but do not need another..πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘πŸ€”
  2. I had a 301 F fretless..Sounded and played the absolute buisness. Yet alas one more regret, selling that bass!! GLWTSπŸ‘πŸ˜ƒ
  3. Just bought back my old Dean B2 bass from Pete..Total Pleasure to deal with.. Packed to survive a nuclear blast!!!πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ€£πŸ˜ƒ
  4. Bargain for this, as new Vigier Excess! Someone will be well happy with this.. GLWTSπŸ˜ƒπŸ‘
  5. Thanks for that..Great basses indeed!πŸ‘πŸ˜ƒ
  6. Hi @Geddys nose Just wanting to ask..but did you ever finish of this beauty and use the Benedetti pickups? Cheers πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘
  7. Thanks, A 1988 Streamer stage 1 with original Bartolini pickups, and a John East preamp..was a great bass for the short time I had itπŸ˜ƒπŸ‘
  8. Thought I would add my late thought on this topic.. I have had three NT4 thumb basses over the years..I now have a January 1990 NT4. Very comfortable and slim neck, weight of a small country 4.8 Kg (lol) Wenge/Bubinga. Transitional stage..old school back plate and dots on the wenge fretboard, but not scalloped on back of the headstock for the Schaller tuners..EMG replacement pickups for the original EMG's like for like. MEC preamp. One for sale at Bassbros at the moment. I have owned this Thumb for 5 years now, and have had not had to adjust the neck once! The most stable trusrod neck I have ever owned. I find the wonderful contoured body on the bass now works quite well with my 57 year old contoured belly (lol) The 89 I owned I deeply regret selling! This 1990 equally comparable.. 1997 version..just nowhere as good, neck profile broader, the Warwick fundamental thump no longer there.. If in the lucky position to own an NT4 Thumb, I personally recommend buying an older version..That said I don't know what the new ones are like, bar very expensive. ps If played through an old school Trace Elliot the bass sings!!
  9. I hate to use clichΓ©s, but " Glad at has one extra string!" Absolutely stunning bass there..As good as it gets.. Good luck with your sale/trade πŸ˜ƒ
  10. I have never been that keen on single cut basses, or headless basses, let alone having the ability to play a five string bass! You know what, that is all out the window now..lol😁 This is yet again, another truly stunning example of Alan's genius.. Good luck with the trade or sale of this beautyπŸ˜€πŸ€˜
  11. I used to own this beauty!! A truly amazing playing bass, and assuredly a lot more user friendly minus the seriously souped up 18v preamp.. A Dean version of the Peavey B quad as used by bass luminary Brian Bromberg. In my humble opinion, much better..I have been fortunate enough to own both! Β£200 is an out and out bargain for this.. GLWTSπŸ˜ŠπŸ‘Œ
  12. "Oh my stars!" Have just logged on.. This bass looks true perfection! The delta metal fingerboard, the brass nut, and the bridge have come up truly fantastic!! The sustain on these basses just incredible.."WOW" πŸ˜ŠπŸ™
  13. Wow..worth the 20 year quest/wait! @Hellzero Stunning bass, with all the original components, and in fantastic condition! I am very fortunate enough to have an end of the line series 1 Arpege Delta metal bass from January 86.. with the 2nd generation Benedetti pickups, fitted at the time..non original electronics alas..but a dream to play..Looking forward to seeing more photos, of this beautyπŸ‘πŸ˜ƒ
  14. Fantastic basses, a joy to play.. oozing mojo..and only a Β£160..BargainπŸ‘πŸ˜ƒ
  15. I Played my 1990 NT 4 last night at a rehearsal. What a Joy! Truly fantastic basses..lovely slim profile neck.. GLWTS of this beauty!!πŸ‘πŸ˜ƒ
  16. Stunning Vigier!! Nico is a true gentleman to do business with...GLWTSπŸ‘πŸ˜ƒ
  17. Alan's basses, in my humble opinion, of having played bass for forty years!! Are as good as it gets in custom hand built basses..This is another example of an out an out bargain, at a give away price..Somebody will be very happyπŸ‘
  18. That is a real beauty!!!πŸ˜€πŸ‘
  19. A Passion 111 custom, with the flame maple front and back.. Stunning!!πŸ˜ƒ
  20. I hear you @ped about weight, my series 1 Arpege fretless, ALMOST the weight of a wal! though in my humble opinion so much more comfortable to playπŸ˜ƒπŸ‘
  21. Think it is abit of a rarity!😊
  22. Hi Ped, as per anything technical cannot upload the link from www.leboncoin.fr of the Vigier Passion bass I mentioned ..How I ended up playing these game changing basses is a mystery to me..lolπŸ™ˆπŸ€£
  23. Just seen this..Remember from Back in the Day!! lolπŸ™ˆπŸ™ŠπŸ€£ Definitely an early Passion with a carbon neck..but most surprising to me, only two control knobs!! @ 2.42 in video.. mind you, my eyesight..Ironically enough on www.leboncoin.fr there is an early Vigier Passion Jazz as described for saleIt's Been on the market for a few years I believe? at 1000 Euros..Needs abit of touch up work to the Headstock and neck..but definitely a wooden neck as on my old Arpege series 1, plus it's a non active bass..I have thought about this a few times but cannot set up a leboncoin account, not through lack of trying, believe I need a French phone number..Fortunate to own a January 86 Passion 11 bass, and it does have as @ped our man all things VigierπŸ˜ƒπŸ‘πŸ‘ rightly says has wider horns and the start of the 2nd ,generation Benedetti single coil pickups..
  24. This still here! Bargain Alert!! Great basses these in my humble opinion! Plus the hipshot bridge as well... GLWTSπŸ‘πŸ˜ƒ
  25. Citroen DS in its controls…:-) love thatπŸ˜€Does take a little bit of getting used too! but sounds fantastic
