To be fair it is common on older Vigiers to have hairline cracks by the jack socket! Fantastic price on this series 111 passion..Super comfortable and slim neck, and they sound truly amazing.. Tempted, but do not need another..๐๐๐ค

Thanks, A 1988 Streamer stage 1 with original Bartolini pickups, and a John East preamp..was a great bass for the short time I had it๐๐

Thought I would add my late thought on this topic.. I have had three NT4 thumb basses over the years..I now have a January 1990 NT4. Very comfortable and slim neck, weight of a small country 4.8 Kg (lol) Wenge/Bubinga. Transitional stage..old school back plate and dots on the wenge fretboard, but not scalloped on back of the headstock for the Schaller tuners..EMG replacement pickups for the original EMG's like for like. MEC preamp. One for sale at Bassbros at the moment. I have owned this Thumb for 5 years now, and have had not had to adjust the neck once! The most stable trusrod neck I have ever owned. I find the wonderful contoured body on the bass now works quite well with my 57 year old contoured belly (lol) The 89 I owned I deeply regret selling! This 1990 equally comparable.. 1997 version..just nowhere as good, neck profile broader, the Warwick fundamental thump no longer there.. If in the lucky position to own an NT4 Thumb, I personally recommend buying an older version..That said I don't know what the new ones are like, bar very expensive. ps If played through an old school Trace Elliot the bass sings!!

I have never been that keen on single cut basses, or headless basses, let alone having the ability to play a five string bass! You know what, that is all out the window now..lol๐ This is yet again, another truly stunning example of Alan's genius.. Good luck with the trade or sale of this beauty๐๐ค

I used to own this beauty!! A truly amazing playing bass, and assuredly a lot more user friendly minus the seriously souped up 18v preamp.. A Dean version of the Peavey B quad as used by bass luminary Brian Bromberg. In my humble opinion, much better..I have been fortunate enough to own both! ยฃ200 is an out and out bargain for this.. GLWTS๐๐

"Oh my stars!" Have just logged on.. This bass looks true perfection! The delta metal fingerboard, the brass nut, and the bridge have come up truly fantastic!! The sustain on these basses just incredible.."WOW" ๐๐

Wow..worth the 20 year quest/wait! @Hellzero Stunning bass, with all the original components, and in fantastic condition! I am very fortunate enough to have an end of the line series 1 Arpege Delta metal bass from January 86.. with the 2nd generation Benedetti pickups, fitted at the time..non original electronics alas..but a dream to play..Looking forward to seeing more photos, of this beauty๐๐

I hear you @ped about weight, my series 1 Arpege fretless, ALMOST the weight of a wal! though in my humble opinion so much more comfortable to play๐๐
