Clicked the "I don't think anything would encourage me to vote" as I had to fill one in for that question in order to vote in the poll but none of them were really relevant. I would take part if I had means to record music! I know how to (at least to a certain amateurish standard) but just don't have the equipment.

Research on past prices is best as things vary so much. Warwicks cost an absolute fortune brand new but go for peanuts second hand. Other basses hold their value pretty damn well. Look at what other ones have been sold (I generally search on here/talkbass) then ask for a price close to that (that you're happy with selling for)

Found it worked for maybe half an hour. But I imagine the damage to frets of doing this very often would end up costing more than a pack of Elixirs.

Get lucky. Easy enough song but if you don't have the groove right it sounds like a robotic mess. Saw so many bands butcher it.

I haven't played there but know plenty of bands who have (some of which of the heavy shouty metal variety) and haven't had any issues (at least none worth complaining about!). If I'm free I may pop in support a fellow basschatter!

Jonny bought a compressor from me and paid quickly with no troubles whatsoever. Happily deal with him again. Enjoy the pedal mate

The bass on the left. It's the only photo I can find and it's with a cheap as chips "Crafter" bass that had faulty electronics and a neck that was easily the chunkiest thing I've ever used. Both sounded absolutely awful. Black one felt quite nice to play if I remember right (it was only 4 and a half years ago)

Can't tell if it looks really classy or just tacky...

I use the Mono Vertigo and travel with it on public transport with it about 3/4 days a week and have no complaints. I'm not the strongest of chaps and have a pretty naff back but find it to be a great weight, even when carrying quite a substantial weighted bass.

Bass looks great! Sounds fantastic too, especially the bridge pickup! Good call on getting it in a MM sweetspot and thanks for the sound samples

It was mixed. Stage was tiny (to the point the crash cymbal kept hitting off my tricep area causing extreme pain), sound was pretty crappy (through no fault of the sound guy, just the equipment was fairly shoddy, backline provided type gig) and about a minute before we went on our singer said to me "I think I'm gonna be sick". I had a stomach bug type thing on Wednesday and may have given it to him. But there was a good turnout and saw people I hadn't saw in a while so I had fun.

I think one piece of feedback I received a while back describes my packaging as "unorthodox but effective!". I basically buy a big roll of bubble wrap and wrap it a good 10-15 times. Even if it's a cheap pedal. I do the same for basses as well. If someone is paying for delivery (which I generally factor into my price) then why the hell should I skimp on packaging!? Glad to say that I can't think of anything I've received from members on here that wasn't excellently packaged.

Kindness like this makes this place feel more like a community than a website. To the wall hangers. Hercules ones are what I use and they haven't failed on me. I should mention that one of these basses was just over 6kg so not a lightweight beast! Well worth the relatively small sum of money...even if one of them is being used as a hook for my jacket.

[/quote] The action was too low for notes to ring out fully so this wouldn't have worked. Still plays great, just a little bit more effort needed to play. Still a low action compared to a lot of other basses I've played.

I've got the M87 and felt it was a fantastic pedal when using it with certain basses but when using it with my current bass I haven't been able to find a setting in which it seemed to work nomatter how many hours I put into setting the bloody thing up. Real shame as I've loved how it was to use in the past!

If it's the one I think it is (the one with Colin Cunningham demo'ing it on YouTube), Alan had it in May when I went to spec my Recurve. Had a quick go on it, great bass!

Sorry to re-open this thread but I just saw them tonight and he was using 2 basses. Both of which were Status basses (I can't say the models as I know bugger all about Status basses) but one was headless with Green LEDs (which were bright as a bright thing) and the other was a headed model with just the one pickup. They sounded really nice when I could actually hear them!
