1. Link: https://business-bankruptcies.com/cases/modulus-guitars-llc We all knew it was coming - but still very sad to see them go.
2. Would have been nice if Flea was actually plugged in.... https://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/t1/q71/1560538_657675667627399_1406517354_n.jpg
3. I had the original drive pedal. As said already it was quite synthy. I quite liked it but in the end I found a regular drive pedal and an envelope filter to be more flexible
4.

This! I hate people who confuse an actual rehearsal with the entirely different 'song writing / song learning' sessions.
5. Mike just bought my Dingwall ABZ5 for cash and a Sansamp Programmable Bass Driver I wasn't originally willing to ship the bass as I didn't have a case for it - but Mike really wanted it (He's in Ireland) so he sent over a very sturdy box and a very nice rigid gig-bag. Even chucked in some parcel tape too!! Superb communications all the way through, very fast payment and the Sansamp may even find a permanent place on my board. Pleasure to deal with!
6. Do we have a UK price yet? Even a hint?
7. He's dropped the cases now that the items have been taken down. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-25960300
8. Session Band (Jazz, Blues, Rock etc) is great. Roland Cube Jam is ace (and FREE) and will work with a iRig interface - you don't need to buy the CubeJam amp. It does very accurate speed and pitch changes and will import songs directly from iTunes too. I use it all the time to learn new stuff.
9. Skindred - Kill the Power What a superb album!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSFnygzsLnk
10.
Cant stop coveting this.
Good job it's on the way to you then!!
11.
Yep, that's pretty much my take on it. I seem to recall that The Grateful Dead also used to actively encourage audience recordings. I guess whatever he does there'll be a hardcore of fans who will buy all his releases and fund his no doubt very nice lifestyle . . . . which is also an argument for not bothering with this sort of thing in the first place. Perhaps the ultimate musical indulgence would be a superstar muso claiming their music is so precious that it will never be recorded and will only be played live in secret one-to-one sessions for individuals who can pay a hundred grand or so for a private performance and the rest of the great unwashed are not worthy.
When I saw him at the O2 residency the security binned anyone taking photos. The PA announcement was "This show is for your memories only" Twat. But it was an amazing show. One of the very best I've ever seen.
12. Bootlegs from crappy phone recordings at gigs are a weird issue. I'd have every sympathy with Prince about distribution of original material - DVD rips / music rips etc. But amateur bootlegs....? He'd be better off following Metallica's example - you can get a 'desk-mix' from them of almost every show they did over the last few years, usually only the day after the gig. I still have old tapes from going to Donington 20 years ago. Well dodgy sound, but the occasional blinding song audible out of the sound of airborne bottles of piss. Happy days!
13. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3IKmjzwlpc and a comment seen on another forum: I like to imagine they double booked the 3pm slot and thought "f*** it we'll both go on at the same time"
14. Pair of Bergantino CN112 cabs would be perfect. I use a CN112 with a Streamliner 900 and it's brilliant! I'll be getting a 2nd cab when I have more cash
15. If the rock bass one is cheap enough I'm having one! I live for funk!
16.
Signed and shared a few days ago, good to see the support for the venue.
Did you even read that the petition is basically a load of crap and they are not being threatened with closure? All that the residents are asking for (some of them being there for 10 years +) is for the volume to go back to its last level as the venue increased their volume level massively. That's it.
17. Slightly different - but my Yamaha Attitude 3 (now sold) was everything I wanted in a bass - wonderful thick grindy tone. Even the slightly heavy weight of the beast was do-able (just) But my hands are just too small for that monster neck. I kept playing it for a few months thinking I'd get used to it but all I got was tendon issues. I was, and still am absolutely gutted about it. I traded it on here for a Fender Stu Hamm Urge 2 and that is a lovely bass with a brilliant neck and it sounds superb - it's a keeper without a doubt. But it's not the Attitude sound. At some point I'll have to spec out a Warmoth build and get as close as I can to it, but with a neck I can cope with.
18. Russ just bought my Boss VE-20 Vocal processor. VERY prompt payment - he turned up at my door 24 hours before I expected him to!! Great bloke, very nice to meet him! (He wouldn't sing in my lounge though - so I had to be the one looking like a wally! )
19. Jive Honey Absolutely brilliant. Total pros. http://www.jivehoney.com/
20. And the other side of the story that says there is NO risk of closure and the residents (some of them been there for a decade) merely want the volume turned down to its previous levels... http://www.manchesterconfidential.co.uk/News/Night-And-Day-The-Other-Side
21. Do you mean 'Pitch Correction' rather than 'Pitch Shifter?' It does have that, but I've never used it. Either because I'm an awesome singer... or because I don't care. The guess is yours!
22. No idea where to list this! Boss VE-20 Vocal Performer - an FX pedal for singers. Does loads, sounds good too Official demo is here: £145.00 delivered in the UK. Photos to follow.
