  1. Nice.
  2. If they release the black one with the maple neck, I'm having one! Although the white one in the instagram pic is very lovely too.
  3. Surgery. Why bother with anatomy and all that? Why not just....
  4. His signature bass is a nice take on the stingray
  5. I said exclusively 5 as that is what leaves the house with me. But I do own a couple of 4s. House use only.
  6. The Aggie db 751 model on the update is superb.
  7. Full fat for 999 https://www.soundsgreatmusic.com/products/line-6-helix?utm_source=Sounds+Great+Music+Newsletter&utm_campaign=ab26edcfb2-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2017_11_23&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_fea477516b-ab26edcfb2-68043021
  8. That sounds brilliant. What is the nut width?
  9. I like him. So nerrrrrrrrrr
  10. I've wanted a 751 for years, but the weight of it means I couldn't cope. I remember trying one with one of the tall aggie 4x12s. It was amazing. Can't wait to do the update now!
  11. It can be a bit disappointing but it’s not worth getting upset about. There are also many basses in sale in the classifieds that are not modified or badly treated and yet been on sale for months. I can think of 2 that have been popping up for years. Clearly they are also overpriced for the current market. But the owners have clearly decided on the money they want and refuse to accept less. Up to them, it is their property. still on the plus side their repeated payment of subs to the site can only be a good thing!
  12. He's not my bag either. I recognise that his fame caused the bass to become more popular, and that in turn leads to more players and better gear etc but I view him as someone who may well have started something new but was quickly left behind by those who came after him. It's like JJ Cale tapping before EVH made it famous. The idea was the same, but the technique needed a composition before it made more people appreciate it - and that's what Eruption was. Venom really started the thrash thing, but they were quickly surpassed. So I'm glad Jaco did his thing and I'm glad it caused a bit of a revolution. But I won't be buying any CDs of his any time soon.
  13. Just saw that. Loads more Marshall’s and the Aggie DB751 some fun pedals too including a routing block to collapse stereo paths. That will be ace.
  14. Yes. Easy as pie.
  15. http://www.cakewalk.com/Gibson-Announcement Cakewalk is no more.
  16. Get the full fat floor one rather than the LT. It's built stronger and it's got more connections. Scribble Strips are a brilliant thing to have too. You'll also get a far bigger discount on the Native plug in with either the rack or the full floor.
  17. Yeah - the price difference is quite noticeable! If I was only playing guitar then I'd probably get the Red Sound RS LG12 Active. It's a great unit, but not made for bass use. Best guitar one I've heard though.
  18. Interesting. I've got the DXR10 and I'm really happy with it. As it happens though I think (about 90% decided) that I'm going to stick with my Barefaced cabs for bass use and power them with my tiny Tecamp Puma 300. Total weight is lower as the Puma is only 2.2 lb. I don't play out anywhere on guitar so I'll get some good desktop monitors instead.
  19. Yamaha DXR series.
  20. I love EMGs. And the customer service from HQ in the USA is great. uk distributors are crap, admittedly.
  21. I've had older ones and loved them. I also had a Streamline, but the neck profile was different and had pretty square shoulders on it. That wasn't for me. I wish they'd do the 1990s neck profile again. And for that matter, do a narrower neck on a 5 string. 48.2mm is far too big for me. 45 is my max.
  22. I like that colour more actually. Lovely lovely lovely!
  23. I love the colour! Not enough sparkly basses in the world.
  24. 13lb is mental. I'm shuddering at the very thought! I won't have any bass that weighs over 9lb no matter how good it sounds. Even my much modified Ray 5 is only 8.5 lb
  25. NAMM Not. Available. Maybe. May.
