    Selling a set of Sandberg Black Label jazz pickups. These were removed from my Sandberg California TT4. Rockinger in Germany seem to be the only place that sells Sandberg pickups and the prices seem to range from 85 euro to 108 euro (about £77 to £98) for each pickup. (£158 to £196 for a pair). I can't find the exact model on the Rockinger website though. They are a really good pickup. I only swapped them because I was trying to get that Bobby Vega sound going and he used EMGs in his jazz. As you can see they are slightly different in length like Fender ones. I'm looking for £100 including UK delivery. I will also throw in FOR FREE the Sandberg 2 band preamp with passive tone. CAVEAT - When I removed it from the bass I was not exactly careful in disconnecting the wires. I have no idea how to connect it up again and I don't have a wiring diagram. It may not even work anymore. So it's free and if it doesn't work there's no returns! It will come with a stereo jack socket. You'll have to figure it out yourself! You'll need your own knobs. I have no idea where they went. ta

Stack knob jazz set. 250K volume and 500K tone on each stack They have been fitted to my Stingray 5 which has now been put back to stock. Does £45 including delivery sound right? If anyone wants the PJ cut stingray scratchplate (custom order from WD Music at about £60!!!) then that can be sold as well for another £10. ta

    Selling a pair of Nordstrand Big J Blade pickups for a 5 string. Only the bridge pickup has been installed before. The neck has not been used. I bought these from the USA a couple of years ago and after paying VAT and import they set me back about £225. That was before they became available in the UK at £180! (ar$e) They are the "Clean and Clear" model and sound great. The bass they were in will be sold so these are up for sale as a set.     That's true, but as you say the price of valves has gone up quite a lot. Even if they don't disappear maybe at some point the amps they go in will become genuine high priced luxury items and not something available for £500 anymore.

    I used to run a Digitech BSW in parallel with the distortion for that. Used a Boss LS-2 to deal with the blend. Got very close indeed.

    I prefer to play in power trio type bands if I can. More is often necessary and fun.

    I imagine that if / when it happens it will be because valves are no longer economical to make / sell. Guitar forums are still full of people buying valve amps. Even those who use a modelling unit for gigging for ease of set up and FOH often still have a valve amp or 2 at home. I haven't gigged on guitar for ages, but when I do, I've got my Helix rack. But at home I've got a Marshall SC20H (Mini JCM800) just because I love it. High end amps like Friedmans and Diezel are still selling well and holding their value. Small builders like Rift are selling plenty. There are loads more useable 20W valve amps than there were a decade ago. Mesa stuff is an outlier. When Westside started jacking the UK prices the used ones stayed about the same. £3200 RRP for a Dual Rectifier Reborn - can buy a used one for £1000 to £1200 with a little patience. Amps are full of expensive components, but if Diezel can sell the VH4 (4 channels with Midi and phantom power) for £2500, then there is no good reason why the Dual Rec couldn't be under that. It's a more simple amp. I really like Mesa amps - but I'd never buy a new one. The only thing in the universe that has a higher level of depreciation after being used is a condom.

    Aguilar 60s wind - the AG 4P-60 is a fantastic pickup. Proper old pickup that isn't boomy like many new "upgrades" with lovely mids. Love them!

    No idea if they are the same but I've got the Mooer - The Mooer sounds just like my old Boss CE-2. So if you like a CE-2, then you'll like the Mooer.

    Selling my Darkglass M900 amp. I’ve owned it since new and I got it in the very first week it was available having pre ordered it when it was announced. Its from the very first batch that has the famous “Darkglasss” with 3 s on the footswitch. It’s been gigged.... with a jazz band, 😂 Tiny bit of drive was great to cut through the wall of brass instruments. Does great cleans as well as the expected filth with the VMT and B3K drive circuits in it. Footswitch is for muting and turning the drive on and off. Theres a few marks on it but otherwise in good condition and it all works as it should. Comes with the slightly battered box, instructions, power cable, footswitch and the introduction letter that was hand signed in the first run. Even still has the sticker in the box.
