  1. I’ve got G70 and G75 and have no problems with EMGs. Stingray can be noisy with small bug type transmitters. Extension cable and moving the bug to the strap cured it.
  2. Night wish (vocals) Alice Cooper (current guitarist Nita Strauss) Anneka Von Giesenburgen (solo and with Devin Townsend) Amy LeVere Joanne Shaw Taylor Samantha Fish Horrorpops (vocals and double bass) Halestorm
  3. The main flaws on my basses are the notes I play.
  4. Tomorrow I’ll charge a 9v properly and then leave the pedal on while I’m working. If I can get 4 hours out of it that will be excellent.
  5. The demos of the BB-1X (the drive pedal) are good for some players and not so great for others. I am curious though! The compressor is ace. No dip and swell, no over compression of the lows, and amazingly low noise floor. I have some rechargeable 9V so I might do a test and leave it on to see how long it will last.
  6. Bought on a rum fuelled whim. Was halfway expecting to send it back when the hangover went, but it’s actually really good. I’m impressed. Dead easy to dial in.
  7. Don’t forget the benefit of entering the competition by allowing access to your Facebook, Twitter, instagram, and gawd knows what else. Any person or company giving away prizes of that value will make far more than that for the sale of your data.
  8. Did you get them from Thomann? £35 now 😢 and shipping.
  9. I might have to get one.
  10. Found the brand of the cable I used for the 9V conversion https://myvolts.co.uk/Ripcord As it happens all the centre neg ones are out of stock at the moment, but maybe they can be bought elsewhere. They work very well.
  11. Martyn bought some pickups and a jazz loom. Fast payment, everything was smoooooooth!
  12. 2 new posts from them on Facebook today. Hopefully all is well.
  13. I do it all the time. Some pedal preamps have a different character to the sound, some just have more useful EQ points for the room. I like to leave the EQ on my sandberg flat when setting up, and then I can have full use of it to tweak it during a performance without having to faff with my amp / pedals again.
  14. Another vote for a Sandberg
  15. I messaged Ed about the errors.... he told me it was written 5 years ago.
  16. Democracy has won. I have ordered. In a highly amusing turn of events, if it gets delivered as per the lead time suggested on the website, it might get here on my wedding anniversary. That can only go well.....
  17. Ask Doug on facebook - they reply really fast.
  18. It will be fine. If you want the space for storage then consider putting a rack tray or drawer in the empty one. That will stop any scratches on the amp.
  19. Ask on the Fretboard forum. There's loads of FX mad guitarists on there.
  20. V30 always sell well. Pretty good prices on the completed sales on ebay.
  21. The old Marshall VBC412 cabs can be bought for dirt cheap these days. Might be an easier solution if you can cope with the weight.
  22. I emailed them about that article because of an error - says the Dunlops are not available in other scale lengths. Not true - I have them on my Ibby Mezzo at the moment! Very nice they are too.
  23. Barefaced One10 and a class D head of your choice.
