1.
This happens quite a lot in my bass playing....
2. Having read through the topic in question, some of the comments are a bit close to the edge. However, like Charic, I can see no reason for closure either. A boring procedural bit here, if we 'remove' a thread then the reasons are reported amongst the Mod team. No report has been received and, asking around the Mod team, none of us can shed any light on why the thread was 'removed'. I can also see that nothing has been deleted or edited (with the exception of posters editing their own posts) from the thread. Taking all this into account, I can only assume that someone had an inadvertent 'finger failure'.
3.
I have been in the same boat as Ste here, and the rules listed on the forum do contradict whats being said here. Can we get a clarification, and if needed, update to the marketplace ruling over this?
I've already asked for clarification, as soon as I get it I'll report back.
4. Click on the 'Submit' button (without filling in the form obviously) and check out the URL. Then check out the properties of the 'Thankyou' image. As wide a berth as you can manage on this one I reckon.
5. What are they supposed to file them down to?
6.
I'm wondering if the extreme skinniness of my Ibanez neck isn't causing me so trouble as well. As the neck does tend to make my hand cramp up a bit after a little while.
Stroke it, don't strangle it.
7.
Yes, that works. If I browse as a guest, I can shop. As 'Dad3353', I can't. Dunno why...
Sounds like a profile issue, drop Hamster a PM.
8. I have a reliced car.
9.
If it's anything like me using a mobile device...it's a case of try it once, get the hump because it doesn't work then wait until I get on a proper computer when I get home
That does seem to be the default method. It's rumoured that 4G actually means you have to have 4 Goes before it'll work.
10. From a high level technical perspective it shouldn't be difficult to do, but the catch might be what happens when someone accesses the site using a mobile device.
11. Outside of the obvious influence of the small furry ones from Wimbledon, Ashley Hutchings is probably the closest thing to an influence I have. Steeleye Span, Fairport Convention, The Etchingham Steam Band, various versions of The Albion Band (and sometimes several at once!), Ridgeriders, Rainbow Chasers, Morris On... his list of folk band formations is enormous, you could spend 6 months just listening to his back catalogue! He's a musical tart, just like me.
12.
but - can we put sales listings in our sigs? I remember it was against the rules, but folk still do it....
Putting a link to your advert is fine, no problem there at all. Listing stuff you haven't advertised isn't. Linking to items on Gumtree\Ebay etc. isn't either. HTH
13. I'm an IE10 user as well. Works for me most of the time but the two banners on the homepage do sometimes take a while to load up.
14. You're alone in that one. I just logged out and came back to the site as a 'Guest' - it let me straight in.
15. Bump - Esh Various 4 - Reopened
16.
Less of the 'young', please.
He's just giving you the choice. Slander or Trade Descriptions Act.
17.
Welcome, new mods! I very much look forward to upsetting you all in due course.
LMAO
18. Try using less flour and add an extra egg.
19.
We did tone it down after recruiting icastle, I must admit
I'm not an easy act to follow.
20. I have an ESP LTD 6 which weighs in at just under 15lbs. Fortunately, its extremely well balanced or it'd be unusable.
21. Bump - Wal Pro 11E no.1124 - Reopened
22.
Next week, we will be trying to work out why TE specified 63v smoothing caps for a +/-70v supply.
In an ideal world, an electrolytic should only be run at about 80% of it's voltage rating. Are the two caps in series? If not, my best guess would have to be that 63v caps were used because they couldn't fit 100V ones in the space and they were relying on the fan to keep the caps cool and raise their resistance to allow for the underrated component that had been selected.
23. Ironically, I like valves in guitar amps but absolutely loathe them in bass amps. Other than that (and the fact I don't have £13 let alone £1300 ) it would really suit me down to the ground.
24. I particularly like the lack of graphic EQ, the lack of horrid inbuilt effects and providing two separately EQ'd channels is a stroke of simple genius. At £1300 it's not cheap, but if this is half as good as the ENGL guitar amps I've used in the past, then this is going to be an absolutely fabulous piece of kit.
25.
I only ever acquire things I want. Absolutely attached to everything or everyone, I'll be selling nothing. I like a simple life.
You only have things you want - so you don't have to choose what to get rid of. I don't form attachments - so I don't have to choose what to keep. It's the same thing.
