I had my first session there back in 1982. It only had 2 rooms and a pool table. The last time I was there they had lots of rooms.
It used to run by a bloke called Simon and his sister IIRC.
Reminds me of The Concert For Bangladesh where Ravi Shankar and the Indian musicians sat down on the floor and began to tune. The crowd burst into applause thinking this was the actual Indian music section, and Ravi said "If you liked the tuning that much you should wait till we start playing properly!"
I probably wouldnt. One classic rock covers band is pretty much like the other.
Most of the stuff we play is also played by other bands on the local circuit in West London.
On the other hand, we do some stuff that other bands dont do. (Yet)
That post is 3 years old, I dont think its on the system anymore.
This any good?

It is well known that Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker hated each others guts. Dave Davies and Mick Avory had a punch up on stage.
I used to play in a band where the guitarist and singer wouldn't speak to each other on or off stage, that made for some interesting gigs.
Any other grumpy band member stories?
When I crank up my MIM Precision and hit it hard with a pick through my Markbass combo, it gives a dirtier sound than my more expensive basses do.
I quite like it. No effects nothing.
The camera work these days seems to be some fancy arty farty vertigo inducing modern art.
I gave up watching some bloke being interviewed the other day, because the camera kept zooming in and out up this blokes nose and earholes while said bloke looked straight ahead at another camera which it flipped back to from time to time in black and white.
I once played with a friend who was friends with Owen Paul (Who had a one hit wonder in the 80's)
Owen Paul turned up and we played a few of his songs. (Including his hit)
Pete Farndon was the original bassist. He played on the first two albums.
I still play them today. Sadly he succumbed to substance abuse.
ISTR he was temporally replaced by Tony Butler.
I dont know if could do that night after night. I saw one of the Beatles tributes up in Liverpool at the cavern recently and they were nowhere near the premier league status of the Bootleg Beatles.
But playing someone elses stuff note perfect every night doesnt appeal to me.
Having said that, Bjorn Again and the Australian Floyd and the Bootlegs have made some of the tribute bands almost as famous as the originals.
Need to tweak my rod a bit as I have some upward bowing on my MIM P bass.
Do you guys always slacken the strings off first before making any adjustments?
