I had a guy buy a bass from me, but he wanted to collect it early Sunday morning. He came about 9am because he wanted to get it home before his wife woke up! 😂

I have been sacked from several bands in my lifetime but it never really bothered me. the first sacking (circa 1988) when I was 24, was from a band who's lead singer/guitarist thought he was Paul Weller. We were playing the Mean Fiddler in Harlesden when I turned up in a Fleetwood Mac 'Tango In The Night' T shirt. (That album had only just recently came out IIRC) He said that was not the image they were trying to convey. 😂 The second sacking was from a function band who wanted to play Sunday lunchtime gigs as well as the regular gigs. I couldn't do it as I worked shifts, and had to jiggle things around so as I could do the main gigs, but could not guarantee I could be free on Sundays too. It was quite amicable and I used to get the occasional phone call asking if I could dep when they where stuck.

Interesting to hear how Macca completely misses the B at 11.49 in Oh Darling. 😋

I was going to give the neck on my Limelight a tweak as the action has increased quite a bit up the neck. But because its based on a 1963 Precision the neck has to be removed before it can be adjusted. I think I,ll leave it in case I muck it up.

I still have my old Tascam Porta 07 from 1994. The one with the coloured knobs that look like boiled sweets. 😋

As said above, It probably needs no more than a professional setup. Those 2x2 bridge saddles can be rather tricky to intonate both strings accurately.

Need to shove a couple of blue plectrums in the pickguard for full effect! 😋

At least he has found away to fix the strap pins to it!! 👍

Herbie Flowers. That Jazz bass with the black nylons on 'Walk On The Wild Side' does it for me. I love the way he jumps about the high and low register with those little fills.

All relics and roadworns I have owned have the "Damage" on the body and headstock, not on the playing area. I would send it back.

A friend of mine plays in a Swing type band and I went along once to have a listen. Not really my bag, but their bass player asked me if I wanted to play a couple of of numbers. I did this song called 'L O V E' which is basically a II V I in A. I quite enjoyed playing a walking bassline, although I did overplay at times. I have a recording of it somewhere.
