A friend of mine plays in a Swing type band and I went along once to have a listen. Not really my bag, but their bass player asked me if I wanted to play a couple of of numbers. I did this song called 'L O V E' which is basically a II V I in A. I quite enjoyed playing a walking bassline, although I did overplay at times. I have a recording of it somewhere.

Bloody Hell! I didn't realise she was 57! Wow! What a performance!! 👍 I saw her at Wembley last week, She even played bass for a couple of numbers.

I've just dug out the debut album by The Police "Outlandos D'Amour' I havent heard it in years. Great simple bass lines by Sting before he became a monumental bellend. 😋

I saw Sheryl last Sunday at Wembley while she was the support act for The Eagles. She was excellent. Although she played to a half empty stadium while everyone was in the bar.

All The Beatles multitracks and masters were digitally copied in the 1990's for safekeeping, and the original 1960's tapes are stored in a secure vault at Abbey Road. The recent White Album and Sgt Pepper 50th Anniversary editions were taken from the original analogue tapes not the digital copies.

I too was put off by the Fort Knox security intimidating door buzzer at the Bass Gallery. I went there once and found the staff a bit touchy. All the music shops in my area have all closed down so I cant browse them anymore. Everything I have bought in the last ten years has been online after heavily researching what I was interested in. The downside being I cant try them out. But Basschat has loads of folks who have had with unbiased opinions. I bought a Markbass 121 after reading the reviews on here a few years back.
