  1. I havent seen a Limelight in a 51 shape. I wonder if Mark can do one if asked? ๐Ÿค”
  2. Crank up yer old Sega Megadrive. ๐Ÿ˜Š
  3. Not great picture quality, But this is one of the last Mexican Standards made before they were discontinued. The lovely sparkly LPB finish really shines under the lights.
  4. I use Warwick Red Nickles on my Precisions after reading positive reviews on here. They sound bright and last longer than Rotos or Ernies, but they are a bit abrasive to the fingertips. I have a few packets to try on my other bases too.
  5. Well, I did wonder what happened to it. I thought you probably had got fed up waiting and cancelled the order. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿคฃ
  6. Jools should get that American kid who fooled top venues that he was a major star with a record deal, an agent and a huge fan base. Thats how marketing works and he has got what he wants because it has given him exposure. Cant be any worse than that shower of shite!
  7. Reminds me of a third rate Hole with a fourth rate Courtney wannabe. The bass player staring at his left hand reminded me of me when I first started playing.
  8. Another short ar$e here at only 5'6. Although I have stopped growing upwards, I am now growing outwards, and will soon struggle to reach the strings!! ๐Ÿ˜
  9. I originally was a guitarist. But back in the day when I was in my first band, the bassist could not really play. I remember one song we were doing.. Funeral Pyre by The Jam, the poor sod couldn't grasp it. I recall showing him how to play the bass part and was sort of cajoled into 'Why don't you take over on bass?' So I did. I would probably have done the same if I had my time again.
  10. The crack in the top left pick guard by the screw must be compulsory. (3.40) My Sonic Blue 63 Limelight has the exact same crack in the exact same place! ๐Ÿ˜
  11. I went there once in about 1985 as a skint student. Just to have a look around really. I bought a packet of strings which I could barely afford just to have something to take home.
  12. Thin Lizzy - Whiskey In The Jar Lenny Kravitz - Are You Gonna Go My Way Enter Sandman - Metallica Are among the few of our bands' set that I quite enjoy watching the crowd react too. As such, I quite enjoy playing them.
  13. The loud, crashing chord before the final song 'Her Majesty' makes sense now. It is actually the final chord of 'Mean Mr Mustard.' Well, that's worth waiting 50 years for!! ๐Ÿ˜‰
  14. And its number 1 pop pickers! ๐Ÿ˜ https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-49931789
  15. I quite like the Oh Darling bass part. I think there is a flubbed note in it somewhere which was left in the final master. George Harrison played some good bass parts on Maxwell and Golden Slumbers which I never knew was him till recently.
  16. Sweet Home Alabama Feel Like Making Love 2468 Motorway. Although its very unlikely that I will never hear them again because I have to play them every ruddy week!! ๐Ÿคฌ
  17. The Specials - Encore and The Beatles - Abbey Road 50th Ann Remix on pre-order
  18. I had one a few years back. Well, the 54 MIJ re issue in paisley. The thing that put me off it was that the E string somehow became stuck under the ridge of the single coil pup and nearly ripped the whole thing out! Apart from that I quite liked it even though the output lacked a bit of definition.
  19. There was a New Seekers too. No original members but they had a number one with the Coca Cola advert. ๐Ÿ˜Š
  20. They didnt even write it. Rita Coolidge did.
  21. Theres one on eBay if you're interested. ๐Ÿ˜ https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/223663108683
  22. Whine & Grine by Prince Buster. 'If you have your brush you can avoid the rush' What a lyric. I wish I could come up with something like that. ๐Ÿ˜Š
