Mmm! .. let me think.
1. Limelight 1963 Precision in Sonic Blue.
2. Fender P USA in Olly White circa 2008
3. Fender P MIM LPB
4. Squier bitsa P with SDPB1 pick up
5. Yamaha BB 5 string.
I think the original Fender Pick up covers were supposed to block interference from electric lights or summat.
The bridge ones acted as mutes or dampeners.
I craved after a pair to put on my sunburst/tort P Bass, but rapidly took them off as they did indeed get in the way.
This used to be mine. I bought it off of former basschat member 'Discreet' a couple of years back.
A lovely bass modelled on a 62 or 63.
I sold it on and bought a Sonic Blue one instead.
Incidentally, This is Dakota Red NOT Fiesta Red.
I once wore a T shirt at a gig a year or two ago. It had a picture of Darth Vader saying ' I am your father' emblazoned across it.
I noticed our guitarist wetting himself with laughter everytime he looked over at me.
During the interval I asked him what was so funny and he replied that my guitar strap was covering some of the letters and made it look like 'I am fat!' 🤬
The presence of another bass player in the room staring at my left hand turns me to quivering jelly. 😥
Its usually when I,m playing something dead simple like an 8 to the bar ACDC song as well, So I cant show off!! 😁
I love all the stuff on irs. When they were signed to Warner’s they got to commercial for my tastes. That bloody awful shiny happy people was the kiss of death for them. IMHO
The action above the 7th fret on my P Bass has increased rapidly over the passed few weeks.
It still seems OK on the lower part of the neck.
Will lowering the action help? Or is this a truss rod tweak?
