  1. You go to the Rotosound website and look to see who endorses them, and post it on here. πŸ˜‚
  2. Has he been Knighted? I must have missed that!
  3. The action above the 7th fret on my P Bass has increased rapidly over the passed few weeks. It still seems OK on the lower part of the neck. Will lowering the action help? Or is this a truss rod tweak?
  4. They did a good job recreating the bloodstains! πŸ˜‹
  5. Then you maybe interested in paying Β£350 for this brick. And its damaged!! πŸ˜‚ https://shop.abbeyroad.com/*/*/Original-Abbey-Road-Studio-Two-Brick/666L0000000?utm_campaign=AbbeyRoadFansAdditionalLecturesEmailsBrickEmail240719&utm_content=UMGUK13870-651294&utm_medium=Email&utm_source=Email
  6. I was told many years ago that I looked like Bobby Gee from Bucks Fizz. 😒
  7. I had a guy buy a bass from me, but he wanted to collect it early Sunday morning. He came about 9am because he wanted to get it home before his wife woke up! πŸ˜‚
  8. I have been sacked from several bands in my lifetime but it never really bothered me. the first sacking (circa 1988) when I was 24, was from a band who's lead singer/guitarist thought he was Paul Weller. We were playing the Mean Fiddler in Harlesden when I turned up in a Fleetwood Mac 'Tango In The Night' T shirt. (That album had only just recently came out IIRC) He said that was not the image they were trying to convey. πŸ˜‚ The second sacking was from a function band who wanted to play Sunday lunchtime gigs as well as the regular gigs. I couldn't do it as I worked shifts, and had to jiggle things around so as I could do the main gigs, but could not guarantee I could be free on Sundays too. It was quite amicable and I used to get the occasional phone call asking if I could dep when they where stuck.
  9. Interesting to hear how Macca completely misses the B at 11.49 in Oh Darling. πŸ˜‹
  10. The Whole Album on bass only. Macca heaven. (Apart from Maxwell that was George) πŸ˜‹ πŸ‘
  11. I’m off to Florence in a couple of weeks πŸ‘
  12. I was going to give the neck on my Limelight a tweak as the action has increased quite a bit up the neck. But because its based on a 1963 Precision the neck has to be removed before it can be adjusted. I think I,ll leave it in case I muck it up.
  13. My bass guitar heaven πŸ˜‹
  14. I still have my old Tascam Porta 07 from 1994. The one with the coloured knobs that look like boiled sweets. πŸ˜‹
  15. As said above, It probably needs no more than a professional setup. Those 2x2 bridge saddles can be rather tricky to intonate both strings accurately.
  16. Need to shove a couple of blue plectrums in the pickguard for full effect! πŸ˜‹
  17. At least he has found away to fix the strap pins to it!! πŸ‘
  18. Herbie Flowers. That Jazz bass with the black nylons on 'Walk On The Wild Side' does it for me. I love the way he jumps about the high and low register with those little fills.
  19. Oh yes, the sherwood green jazz. Plz post pics when it arrives. Mark has not updated his Limelight gallery on his website for a while now. I,m sure theres been some loverly basses that have been sold and we havent seen yet.
  20. All relics and roadworns I have owned have the "Damage" on the body and headstock, not on the playing area. I would send it back.
  21. I,m sure that the bassist from the Oasis cover band was playing that heavy relic Limelight that was on sale here recently! 🀣
