I used to think like that until a few weeks ago. With the very hot days we had over summer, the guitars I had paid to be set up were unplayable in a few days. The necks had bowed quite badly. I tweaked a couple very carefully and after a while they settled back again. Really nothing to worry about as long as you are careful.

I always take a second bass to a gig but never a spare amp. I guess one day my lucks gonna run out, but theres only so much you can get in the boot of a Skoda Fabia. 😧

I quite enjoyed that R&B thing Roger did with Wilko a couple of years back. But this new effort really does nothing for me. It was almost as embarrassing as that Free As A Bird thing that the remaining Beatles released back in the 90's. 😒

I use a Markbass CMD 121 for smaller pub gigs with my loud rock covers band. For bigger places I add the matching cab for a bit of heft. Both loud and punchy enough for a 5 piece rock covers band, and small and light enough to fit in the boot of a ford fiesta.

That bass the OP was after was first listed for sale on the 3rd of June. Maybe he did change his mind. But I do agree that the seller should have let the OP know that it was no longer for sale if he knew the OP was set to purchase it. On the other hand, there is another Limelight up for sale. 😊 -

First bass - Satellite short scale thing. No amp though. First Proper bass and amp - Westone Thunder 1 and Vox 50 combo from a Littlewoods catalogue circa 1983.
