1.
I can see how the dialogue would work in a visual context but on a live album I'm just not sure at all
OK, looks like I'll have to order it today !
 2. I was listening to an interview with Kate Bush over Christmas (Radio 2 I think), and she very much wanted it to be a live album, so maybe the dialogue is there because of that. I'm only guessing as I've not heard the album yet ! Well worth listening to the interview...I think it was Simon Mayo. They played some songs during the interview - KIng of the Mountain sounded especially good.
 3.
Better to me means, Those that were born with more talent in the tip of a finger than I have in my whole body. Those that studied harder with more structure and discipline. Those that make overall better and more responsible decisions. Those that play better, sound better and have more natural ability. Blue
Well, that's up to you. I'd say that deciding that someone is 'naturally' more talented or 'plays better' than you and then refusing to critique them is creating your own sacred cows.
 4.
I guess it's fair. For me, I don't have that kind of talent. I'm won't comment.
That's not an approach I favour, nor one I think is really that constructive. If nobody ever passed comment on anyone 'better' than themselves then an awful lot of good music (or art of any sort) wouldn't have been made. If fact, I'd say that the questioning of what 'better' means is a big part of an artform's development.
 5.
If you don't dig it why comment at all? Blue
Why not ? I like the approach - learning and recording something quickly, but not the results that the musicians have obtained. I'd say it's fair comment...
 6.
The chrome is really shiny and wouldn't need a coat as it's perfectly smooth - like glass - there's nothing for the grime to get caught on. It's REALLY difficult to photograph but here's an idea.
Wow. That's pretty bloody impressive !
 7. Looking forward to seeing the results. Would there be any kind of...I dunno...lacquer or somesuch you could coat the 'plate with to make it less prone grime retention ?

 11.
Everything is not about what we personally like. And whether I like it or not, I'm in no position to be critical of those whose talent and ability exceeds mine by light years.
I didn't criticise anyone. If I say I don't like something I'm not that saying I don't appreciate it or the effort that's gone into it. I don't care for ballet in the slightest, but I don't deny the supreme ability of the performers nor the skill and creativity involved in the creation and execution of a performance.
 12. I did a pretty maudlin tune for Christmas a while back. Hang on for the whistling/wah-wah solo ! https://soundcloud.com/moltendog/sitting-in-your-garden-on
 13. I like the ethos, learning a song quick and then recording it, but this jazzed-up version just isn't to my taste.

 16.
You too, 1st one wasn't ready and had a harsh instructor. 2nd one was my fault. 3rd one, no silly mistakes, just got it done.
My 1st was in 1987, didn't try again until this year and luckily found a very good instructor who I got on well with. Also I have a very patient wife. It's an accomplishment to be proud of. Don't stop using bus lanes (when legal and safe to do so)

 21.
What do you think, folks? Make a stand, or go with the guitarist's flow?
I'd say it's unfair to dismiss the idea out of hand...I'd let the guitarist try.
