From a sellers point of view it can be very helpful to see what similar basses have sold for in the past, and help them put a price on the bass

    don't quote me, but i think a jv serial starting jv00... would be one of the ones that said fender, rather than squier.... Probably best if you could give us a link to look at it??

    is it blue or black? can't quite tell. My first 'proper' bass this, and im not sure iv ever owned a 4 string that beats it. Replace the pickguard (!) and its a bloody awesome bass

    did the seller inform you of this problem? If not, i suggest you kindly invite him to cover any costs to sort this problem out This is basically the same as the blx130 i used to own, and that was silent in operation.

    Mate i think you need to be more specific about what you have got. Its already established that the electronics are not original, is the body itself a modulus body? i.e. is it a bitza bass, or a modded modulus?

    an often repeated tip, stop thinking "iv got £500 to spend, what can i get" and just go out there and try as many basses as you can, without looking at prices. So many £250 basses will probably be more suited to you than other £500 basses.
