    In summary, if you see a jap one going cheap or same price as the Taiwanese, buy it for its value, but don't bother paying over the odds for one, simply is not worth it.

    how on earth has the wait got to 3 years??! Thats longer than most boutique luthiers, and surely demand can't be [i]that[/i] high when you consider the rrp of these instruments for what they are! Anyways, good luck with the sale, although i dont think you need it

    i can't think of many genuine reasons why somebody [i]wouldn't[/i] want tone control options on their bass? I currently only own 1 passive bass, and i miss actives sorely. Out of interest, do you passive bassists run your amps eq flat as well? If not, then i ask what is the difference between altering eq on the amp and on the bass, apart from the obvious conveniance of being able to change your eq on the fly?

    Cowell did make himself look a hypocritical twat last night, and all because he knows that if the twins went out, ratings would plummet. I wont be continuing watching the program thats for sure, its become even more of a joke.
