Dingwall NG 2 for sale in Ferrari Yellow, stunning player and sounds the mutts. Bought brand new from Bass Direct a couple of months back, will have the receipt somewhere. Excellent condition; being super critical the only signs of wear are some impossible to photograph surface marks on the scratch plate and pickup cover. Ab'd this with Canadian dingwalls when purchased, playability and feel is identical, which is amazing for such a well priced instrument. The sound is frankly better than afterburners in my opinion, the pickup positions are killer and the Darkglass Preamp really, really works well. I'm looking for [s]£SOLD[/s], to include a padded Fender Gig Case. Would rather this was collected or meeting in person to deliver this but can consider shipping if required. Great saving off a top bass that is hard to get hold of. I will try and sort some pictures out at some point this evening, but it looks identical to this beauty:

Something is wrong here. It takes about 10 seconds to find out how much a Wal is worth, in the incredibly unlikely event that he would not know how much his own instrument may be worth. Why would he sell it for so cheap, and of course on Gumtree as opposed to Ebay or any other more lasting advertisement? Stolen? I don't know, but in this day and age, and after having been told by someone its true value (which was bang on)...

Well, before googling and finding this, I have never seen one of these before. I didn't know Warwick ever made an instrument that looked like this. How long have you had it for? I think as much information about its history, its condition e.t.c. would help you sell. Electronics? Neck profile/measurements?
I found that review quite negative! Still comes out well though
If you check out the guys comments on the Talkbass thread, it certainly wasn't intended to be negative He is a big fan of the Cali so I think he was always going to compare it negatively to that, however for me the compressors are not comparable. Different pedals, to be honest I would rather like both! Would be happy to use a Cali as an 'effect' as opposed to an always on comp. Sadly I sold mine to fund the DG, but out of the two I certainly prefer the DG.

I think he means the amount of pedalboard space it takes up. Rotate the Keeley 90 degrees and it probably is the same size ish. It's a great review by Ovnilabs, slightly surprised at the emphasis he places on the dark valve like tone he gets from it. I find the pedal very transparent, with increased emphasis on lows and a tiny attenuation of highs. But to most people, it just sounds exactly like your tone.
I want to know if someone wants to buy my bass before I decide if i will sell to the person who wants to buy my bass. If no one wants to buy my bass then I wasn't selling it anyway.
GAS See a bass you like, wonder if you can sell a bass you have never contemplated selling before quick enough to buy it, if no interest withdraw it quickly and pretend it never happened....and then list it for sale a month later anyway.

Why a 4 string? Why a 6 string? Why a bass?
It has a wenge neck but is a 2005 model. How would that compare?
It would be a custom shop if it does. 2005 Corvette Standard has an Ovankgol neck. It is highly likely to be Ovangkol, but if it is wenge then like I say it will have to be a custom order and worth more as a result.
The asking price is just shy of £600 so I think I'll give it a miss. Thanks for the help. Pete
Much too high. Hang around, you will find one for circa £400 on here or the Warwick forum in no time.

Bargainous. I'm a little sceptical at how good it will be with electric 5 string bass though. And would it handle a gig situation i.e. with lots of other noise? Cheaper, but still expensive for a clip on tuner...
any info about ratio on these? thanks! ps, no fancy finish, like on this pic?
That finish is there, that is just a very high res photo So, I have had mine for over a week now so I'll make a few comments. Bit of a disaster initially, the preorder I had wasn't working on arrival, pedal wouldn't engage so had to send it back. Mark at Bass Direct fortunately had one left so exchanged with no problem and once again Doug at Darkglass was very apologetic and helpful when speaking to him about it and checked that I had it sorted. Great customer service once again. The pedal itself is a work of art. Perfectly crafted from the custom one piece enclosure and it looks the mutts. The LED meter is very cool and very visible without being too bright or distracting. It also seems to be fairly accurate. Struggles to keep up when playing fast and constant runs but if you suddenly start playing harder or softer it will react immediately, so it may well have been designed that way. It is COMPLETELY transparent, I cannot see that it colours your tone at all. It's a compressor, so it is difficult to talk too much about it as you really need to play with it and see how it reacts to your playing to understand. But for me it really tightens up my playing and works fantastically well with my other DG units. I prefer this to the Cali76 Standard I had, by some way; I found that pedal, whilst sounding really cool, colours your tone too much and always seems to compress a little harder than I would like, in any setting. However, they are very different compressors so it isn't a matter of one being better than the other e.t.c. This excels at clean, transparent, punchy compression. I think the price is very good for a boutique pedal of this quality, coming in at £70 less than the Origin equivalent, a chunk less than the Diamond, Empress, Keeley.... I mean, the rrp of the MXR bass comp is more; the street price is £40 or so less, but that isn't much of a difference at all considering mass produced vs handmade. And it has, like, a million blue LEDs, so thats obviously improves everything
Not heard of that one! I am looking forward to the Mr Black Fwonk (demo on PedalsAndEffects on YouTube).
It hasn't really been announced yet. I sent a faulty super fatman to him a while ago, couldn't fix it and didn't have the parts to replace anymore so instead I am waiting for the new pedal to be finished and will be sent one of those instead
