1. You don't need an Allen key for the intonation.
 2.
so...let me get this right professor... you're saying he's nuts ?
Zat vould be my preliminary diagnoziz. If I vere to get him into ze lab I'd be able to deliver you a more detailed analyziz.
 3.
Warmoth Jazz BAss prob. Got one of these with Dimarzio Ultra Jazz pups. And it seems like they were adequately soldered and installed. However, crazy amount of buzz if i Solo one pup. Then even with both pups, the buzz is still there. Now Unless Im playing in G (60Hz) the buzz is horrible. Do I shield every bit of cavity both, bridge and neck and the cotrol cavity? What about the bridge bit? And the pickguard? But then, I cant solder the casing of a Jazz pup (Plastic) onto the copper tape. Thanks Fatos
Do you get hum everywhere or just at home? If it's humming while both pups are up then it suggests a different problem altogether, dimmer lights etc. If you are unable to directly solder to an area (ie pickguard, pups) the next option is to leave tags of shielding tape that make contact (as best you can) with the grounded shielding when they are pressed together.
 4. Saw this a day or two ago. One has to ask why it is no longer with it's body. Could it be one of the reported dodgy ones from the period? The price would suggest not, although the price does indicate a distinct separation from reality.
 5.
I think it strange how black/black/maple precisions are talked on here very highly, with opinions like 'one of my fave P colour combos' and 'black/black with maple boards is one of the best...' etc and yet, Roger Waters name gets mentioned as a signature bass and all of a sudden its not so appealing! Granted, Roger is not the greatest bass player in the world (not the best bass player in the band) but, as a thinker, music arranger and song writer, the guys a genious. IMO of course, I like the bass. Nick
It's not so much the looks rather than the odd choice of endorser for the reasons you pointed out. I think his composition work is genius too.

 7. Waters was a huge hero of mine.... but as a writer/composer not a player.

 9.
don't know what Sketch Martin is 'playing' here, but it must of run into something sharp as it took a right dig out of his headstock...Aria, or some other Matsumoko built bass I'm guessing?
Kramer
 10.
Guess who is on sandberg commission? Lol. They do look amazing and I would have one at a drop of a hat but money is tight. love the look of the jm.
I wish. I'm just attracted to them as they are the nearest production basses to my Pingray, which I already know is the tits and sounds a bit like what you were describing earlier ie. a Stingray but with a bit more range. You could put your 'ray up for a trade with a 'berg and see what happens.
 11.
Ok the bass has been into the shop today, string spacing is sorted (strings were strung through the bridge wrong) I havnt cut into the bridge, I'm gonna leave that up to a potential buyer.. Open to offers, give me a shout!
Ah I didn't consider the human factor. Still, I can't believe someone actually returned a bargain Shuker because the strings were strung through the wrong holes. It just makes you wonder what owning high end hand-built basses is all about these days.

 13. It looks a smidge over J width in the pic (might just be the elongated headstock). What's the neck profile there sister?
 14. I have a needle file set that I'd gladly send ya (if we're talking a fast turn around - I use them almost daily) but it might be more economically viable for you to have a gander here.
 15. It won't affect intonation but it may impede your ability to play it if the spacings are uneven.
 16. Of course you could end the debate here
 17. I can only reiterate what I've said above and hope you don't go "knocking " them out with anything. Use a fret puller and gently ease them out.... ... and only use heat if you have exhausted every other avenue. You can pick up cheap jeweller's snips which should last you at least one defret job for under a fiver off the bay.

Must be the more expensive range than Squier
I'll bet his reserve is only a few bob short of his BIN too. Effin dodger.
 22. Glorious doesn't come close.
 23. Replacing the pots and wiring will have little impact on the sound. You may find a slight improvement by installing a different capacitor - it will set a different roll of point for the tone control. But in the main replacing the pups will probably sort you out best. Your choice of strings may be a factor too. If you find it too bright currently, try some flats (Status Hotwires are my favourite flats, good strong sound and not as expensive as all the other flats people recommend).
 24.
Haha! of course i did! Well just spoke to the buyer, its definitely coming back. When it's back, i'll check it out, once its sorted it will be for sale though, as 4 5 string fretted basses is frankly quite ridiculous!
And it will sell just as quickly at that price... especially with the corrected BA.
 25.
Some research on talkbass tells me that these bridges need to be filed (thanks to a post from mr. sadowsky) himself......
What, isn't my word good enough for you?
