1. I wondered how long it would be before we got some Sunn O)))
 2. Just to be on the safe side I wouldn't plug it into any expensive amps or PC's in that state for very long. Having said that, does it make that same farty noise no matter what it's plugged into?
 3.
..... and it's worth remembering there are two types of base guiter - the Percussion and the Jass...
Actually that's the original spelling. And not a lot of people know that.
 4.
It is.
So how come I can sing and play guitar at the same time but if I try to sing and play bass I get into a right mucking fuddle?
 5.
... forum chamfer ...
7. How much for the Caps Lock? I'm after a nice one but WOT's one is about 3p out of my range.
 8.
That sir is a gorgeous bass...
It is a tad, yes.
 9.
Thanks Ou7shined. Silly question but what/where is the nut (is it the cross-hatched truss rod screw head you are referring to?) If so, how would I get a washer underneath it - ie, would I need to completely unscrew and remove this first?
What looks like a screw is in fact a nut. A wee (and I mean wee) squirt of wd40 won't do any harm... try not to get it on the wood though. (doh wrong spelling of "by" above )
 10. The obvious thing to try would be to put on some less tension strings for a day or two and see if the same thing happens. Depending on the type of t/r, you can eek a few extra turns out of them buy slipping a washer under the nut.
... I was hoping to get the SX branded bass as per the picture....
Should send it back then.... before you spend any more on it. The point of buying new is so you get a guarantee. So far these guys don't sound like you'll get satisfaction if you have a problem, plus say goodbye to the guarantee once you paint the headstock. Buy a secondhand Squier and do it up.
 12.
MB1. "Plays like Butter" has anybody ever tried playing butter?.....
I guess it's fine if you want to jam along. See what I did there? Butter? Jam? .............. ........ Oh feck off then. edit : oops my "get my coat" smiley didn't work. Fixed.
 13. He knows his Fenders though.
 14. Maybe they give the tone that 6er players (a limited group in the grand scheme of things) generally go for - market forces. Not having held or played one, what style of music is 6 string bass generally for?
 15. "Found in an uncles loft" means you are buying a lost gem.... oh and coincidentally exonerates the seller from liability once you find out it's really a plank.
 16. +1 for the earth (in the electrical sense, I'm not just bigging up the planet ).

Except in a Benny Hill sketch. Why you no rissen?
Looks more like gleen to me.

 19. Holy cow. Nice bass. Fantastic playing. Sounds pretty sweet in your demo. I've embedded it for you and your potential buyers.
... for you will soon be consuming them along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame, set at gas mark 'egg on your face'!
