You'll need to be a bit more specific about your problem mate.

Cheers guys. Was up all night with this. Hope I got it right.... The unusual vol/tone stage is based upon the awesome L-1000 circuit. I will be interesting to see what happens with the P pup brought in. I suspect that the P in parallel mode with the humbucker in OMG will be the setting I'm after. The parallel will be nice and clean from the P but the theoretical slight drop in volume should let the OMG through without adding too much brightness. The only thing I'm not sure about is the extra wire on the P pup, I think it's just an earth but that will become apparent once I've wired it all up.... which may take a while as a couple of the parts are fairly specialist and not all that easy to find.

Bloody awful ad for (allegedly) 22K's worth of kit.... but still it says they have 35 years of experience and locations in the UK and the US so it should be fine.
That's coming on really well, another winner by the looks of it, nice work.
Hey cheers mate. I just realised that I didn't put up a pic of the pups and p/g together. I really need to trim that wee filler off, it's had more than enough time to glue up now. And I'm sure if any vintage Fender fans are watching it will be making them ill to see what I've done to it.
The song list is there for people who are not as comfortable as you and Dave just getting up and making stuff up as you go along. There were not many that played with the band last time so I am hoping more guys will get up and play if it is something they either know or can learn for the day. Maximum involvement is the name of the game so that everyone has a chance if they want it. Don't want you and Perry playing an hour each again. Also hope to have more pics and some video this year. I have drafted in my boys to just do that.
Fair doos Al.

Chiselling out the pup routs As usual I got carried away and although it will be covered by the p/g I got fussy with the humbucker rout Did the bridge rout too The pups fit perfectly. The control plate doesn't cover the old control cavity so I added a filler. I took it right out the bottom of the body so the join will be invisible from the front. Should be fine. Next up the p/g. I made a template on paper, transfered it to card then suck that to my p/g material. Here's the initial rough cut. Here's the basic shape filed And the finished p/g. Chuffed! I wonder if your £500 Fodera p/g's are this accurate? Apologies for the dodgy pics my camera's been playing up.

Due to the bad weather keeping me indoors I've had time to get some chiselling and filing done.... Here's the body I'm working with When I bought it, it looked like this
I like 1, or a full-on Pingray one!
Ooh contraversial. 2 it is though. Good choice gents.

Doh okay. Can't wait. Now when am I getting my name up on the "who's comming" bit? Matt's been nipping my head about it - I think he worried that I'm not going and he'll have to make his way down on his own.

Go in and try one, if the neck feels pukka then it's a goer for modding.
What do you think this is? A Bass bash???!!
Ah right fair enough. Maybe some Bangara beats and German beer-hall tunes might be more appropriate.
The set list has been sorted out now - its all obvious stuff from the typical rock sets....
If you don't mind me saying Dave, most of those tunes seem more guitar orientated. How about a couple of juicy bass songs on the list too... like (oooh off the top of my head) Stone Temple Pilots - Interstate Love Song (personal fave - I know it won't happen like ) or some Chili's or Jamiroqui stuff (Runaway - seems a popular one for bass) to get our teeth into. I heard quite a few iconic bass lines at the last couple - Money, Sunshine of Your Love, Dazed and Confused etc.
Im sure these are great basses and worth every penny but to me they look ugly. Each to his/her own though. I used to hate 3T Sunbursts until very recently. No offence meant to anyone involved in their creation, ownership or OBBM, they just arent for me.
Personally not being a massive s/c fan or that much into dark woods (which seem to be the most popular choices) I know what you mean but after you've actually held one in your hands and heard the quality of tone they produce you are like Hmmmm. Alan's basses would be one occasion where the word "awesome" wouldn't be an exaggeration.
This performance?
Is this where slap bass was invented?

My current favourite is the Schaller 2000. They are perfect all over and the top loading system is so convenient (Jon Shuker uses them too). No doubt a flurry of Badass II's will be along.
Chiseller. I saw you bought this on TalkBass for 4p last week. Its people like you that destroy the community spirit here. I'll give you 5p though if you cover PayPal fees
Careful what you say. He'll end up keeping it because it's so fricking awesome while simultaneously warping space and time and swapping it back for his old spacebar.... allegedly. Who knows what terrifying effect a second event like this could have on the fabric of the universe.

Desperation sale: Squier classic vibe jazz
Ou7shined replied to Anthony Joseph Wiaczek III's topic in Basses For Sale
Bump due to a royal w***er who has made a mess of my car
I have visions of Prince Andrew jizzing on your car and you're either an ecstatic royalist celebrating his gift or said sex explosion hit your windscreen and obscured your vision sufficient enough to result in a slight collision with another vehicle (hense the bump). In all seriousness I hope everyone's ok.
