  1. Hm. Would you sell the fretless neck separately?
  2. Not my thing. (Nor within my budget, as it happens.) It's a bit like going to see my nephew's band - they're really good at what they do, but I'm not a fan of it.
  3. "Yes my love, I posted it on eBay ... "
  4. It looks like a 60s chair back.
  5. Nice. Does the switch ever get moved by accident?
  6. Probably worth closing one of these adverts, since they seem to describe the same bass ... ?

  8. Whoa... just as well it's got frets! Good luck with your sale

I sold Kev my Yamaha BB400 fretless. All went well, and I wouldn't hesitate to deal with Kev again.
  11. I'm not sure this is a viable business model, TBH.
  12. I think he sends his shirts to a service.
  13. Nowadays I have one which was modded with an extra P pup at the bridge before I got it (a Wilkinson, IIRC). Gigged it a few times. I want to put a fretless neck on it, which is on my vast list of Stuff I Will Never Get Round To.
  14. Hm. One and a half, usually. This one is self-funding, is a better singer than he thinks, and a really very good rhythm player. The half is not so much fun to be round, but writes. Both of them have gone really quiet recently. To the point I wonder if I've been fired but they are too wimpy to tell me...
  15. One of my guitarists has a Breedlove fretted six-string. Lovely thing.
  16. I grant you I jumped to conclusions. I shall try to be less harsh in my wording. But honestly, I think it's only the wording.
  17. Mm. So, what does it cost to get someone to do the hard work for me? I'm guessing in the £800-1200 bracket.
  18. Hm. I might try defretting the Alien, if I can find the time and enthusiasm - it's not going to be worth selling, probably.
  19. That's a really nice colour
  20. I would agree, though I've barely played the Alien. The Duke makes an interesting noise; to my ears it sounds more like an electric stepped down an octave than a "conventional" bass guitar.

  22. Sorry, I'm a bit puzzled now. Where are the side dots? At the fret positions, or between them as a fretted bass would be? Ta
