1. Im pretty sure that there is a thread on here saying that Planet waves cables are the shizzle and all that, I read it and bought a couple, not had any problems at all
2. hot, sweaty, packed, bouncy shouty singy screamy fun! overall, bloody excellent, 400 people squeezed into the Royal Vauxhall Tavern makes for a great atmosphere. Hope we can do it again soon
3. I do like the pixies, and have al their albums but Trompe le Monde was a step too far. having said that, there are a couple of fairly decent tracks on it, Subbaculture being one
4. loved the album, and another fan here of the Bruce Sp*nkstain song. Still gets regular airplay on my iBrick

6.
How apt.
are you really asking "Who, Pat?"
7. so did I. Alrite mate, its your round
8. waynepunkdude, does this thing have any major problems (apart from the sunburst and the fact its an Encore?) if not then yes, ill take it off your hands. Would need it posting tho
9. hmmm...interesting....I think this may be a future purchase..... **scratches chin**
10.
By way of contrast, tonight I am at a social club in Wells, Somerset, where Hot Fuzz was filmed. Yarp! Nice on wateroftyne!
Ive been there! Yarp!
11. In a previous metal band I was in, tuned to C, me playing an aria Pro IGB50 thru a Trace Elliott GP12 4x12, when doubling up with the guitarist (no idea what gear he was using at the time) had the most amazing growl ive ever heard from a band. Never been able to reproduce it, but it was a brilliant sound
12. "Punk is whatever we made it to be" D. Boon p.s. was just gonna put "apologies if this has been posted but I haven't read the thread" but then I realised that's totally not in context of the quote, so instead I say "balls to ya!"
13. Well, Ive seen a few headless basses, but never a bassless head. Just off to ebay a handful of sand under the heading "New build house - project"
14. I have M.U which is like a best of album, not a bad tune on it. Locomotive breath, Aqualung and Fatman personal faves
15. do you happen to know the weight of this bass?
16. Hi all, picked up my beloved Aria Pro IGB50 for a noodle last night, plugged in and....nothing. "Poohsticks" thinks I, and set about changing the battery for a spangly new one, yet still nothing. Further brave probing got me opening the cavity to look for expired rodents....nope, drew a blank there. Now, I have a multimeter and aren't too shabby with doing stuff meself but have no clue where to start. Are there any online tutorials or the likes that could show me what to test to see whats afoot? thanks, silently
17. yeah, its going great, they're a fun bunch of people. And the music....I wasn't a Kate Bush fan before but I am now, she's incredible. The basslines are a joy to behold, and a b*st*ard to play
18. Cool beans! I was in that very room a couple months back meself, who was your DJ Dave?
19.
My lass rang up and got the cheaper deal on one of these - cheers for the heads-up! She wanted something cheap-but-alright to keep in Eb so she doesn't have to mess with the tuning of her main bass when plonking along to CDs that are half-step-down. The deal is, however, that if it arrives generally sound and I do the setup (and add copper tape, decent pickup and electronics, better bridge, straplocks, new strings etc. from my bits-box as required) I get to gig it with my metal band! Gonna get some quality looks, not least of all from the band given that I'd sound-check with my 'normal' precision. Hope it's a good 'un when it arrives
pics when you do, in full flow, volume up to eleven, please
20. would you believe, my main bass is one of these in black. and its borrowed. seems to do the job, but I dread the day the guy asks for it back
21.
Speaking as a girl, I can honestly say I found the bass and bassists sexier than guitars and guitarists. There's something quite primal about the low notes and rhythm. Seems to me that guitars are all about short stretches of showing off performances as opposed to wanting to keep things smooth, understated and well performed over the whole performance
And of course, bassists have bigger penises. Well, the male ones anyway.
22. im the opposite, guitar necks look stunted to me, like they took up smoking too early. The average bass neck is of a very pleasing proportion to the average bass body
23. ......any reasons why I shouldn't?
