Another vote for the LFSys Monaco!

Unless these people are working 12 hour shifts/7 days a week they have little excuse for not having time to practice. I have a full time job, a young family, a critically ill Mother and doddery Father....and still manage to find time to practice for a new theatre show, a theatre show dep, a local covers band and other occasional deps/wedding gigs. Not meaning to sound like a martyr, but if you are serious about your music you FIND the time... for practice, rehearsing and gigging!

£250 you say? What a steal!

Same here in the UK. There's a gap between pubs and theatres.

Love that venue.....I played indoors there last year with US blues/rock guitarist Dudley Taft!

This has been partly brought on by the insistence of Fender/Gibson for stores to have entire walls of their product. Now, I like a good Fender as much as the next guy but I have no desire to see a wall of them so I never visit. Shops with a wide choice of brands, a good used section etc will always win out for me...... be they specialist stores with a wide range like Bass Direct, Gallery, BassBros etc or a more general music store with a decent range like RichTone or Andertons.

Just got home from seeing the wonderful ELO Experience with @Hamster & @Kebabkid at Epsom Playhouse with our very own @TPJ on bass and backing vocals! A fantastic show, great bass playing and so many great songs! Catch them if you can! 🎶🎸😎

Until recently, 5 string PJ sets were hard to come by. The new Euro CST series has a 5 PJ set though! Of course, in any other Spector 5 - should you wish, you can swap the soapbar humbuckers for Reverse P & J EMGs in soapbar housing.

Tell them that 'Spector bassist Gary' sent you. They'll look after you!

See if you can pop along to Bass Direct and try out a Pulse II, a Euro LX/Classic and a Dimension HP. See which you prefer....

Pulse II is a great entry to Spectorland and THAT tone, especially if you upgrade the preamp. If you can afford it and don't mind a slightly thicker neck then a Euro 4LX will get you there straight away. 👍
