I saw that and would have made an offer if they shipped. They appear firm on price though. If you buy it and find the neck too chunky give me a shout. I may be interested. The Pulse II has a nicer neck and a bargain used when in the mid-late £hundreds......but the thru neck, Euro is the better bass of the two at that £1k+ price bracket.

Finally, someone says what we all knew already

Ah, but the buskers could deny it and tell the judge that they are protesting Farmers having to pay inheritence tax.... and they will get off scot-free -
No, Ghost are a Blue Oyster Cult tribute....

Received a Rumble 100 from Chris. Good comms and packed fantastically. Cheers, recommended!

Went and saw 'Invisible Airwaves' (Rush tribute) at the Cavern in Raynes Park, SW London with @Hamster & Darren Redick last night. Great gig, really tight band and some.superb musicianship all around! Tamasz absolutely nailed Geddy's super high vocal stylings while @Hemibass did a fantastic job reproducing Geddy's basslines, keys and pedals! Personal highlights were The Trees, Limelight, Freewill, Tom Sawyer and a cracking version of Xanadu! Catch them if they play near you...!

Yep, I'm hoping to make it along...

Yes, I imagine it won't affect UK prices of Euros, but that Euros will be 25% more expensive in the US. Noone can afford the US custom shop ones anyway so no biggie over here...
-
I reckon that will have some serious neck dive...

So, that didn't answer the original question at all. 🤔🫤

500H is approx £399 so maybe £600?

I run mine pretty much flat but dial back/cut the treble a tad as it's a very bright head. Then I may engage the bump for a touch more low end if required. Alternatively, experiment with boosting the low mid to e.g. 2pm and bass to e.g. 1pm and see which you prefer. I don't really use the overdrive but if I do I keep it very low for just a little growl and then use the edge to control how bright it sounds. It's a great amp with tons of power through an efficient 8ohm or 4 ohm cab. Cabs colour amps as well so I find that it sounds full, punchy and tight through my Genz 2x12 4ohm cab, and clear, punchy and more piano-tone-like through my LFSys Monaco 8ohm 1x12 cab. I have to dial the treble right back with the latter cab! Play around with it, try the switches and then disengage them and try adjusting the EQ in a similar fashion.... see which you prefer. It's a very responsive head! Enjoy!

I don't think anyone's mentioned it being a Kipenbacker special order. That will never happen. It would be standard NS2 shape.

It was a new 'transitional' model in the early 90's when Stuart Spector was re-establishing his brand after the Kramer bankruptcy. He used the name SSD (Stuart Spector Design) and tried some new shapes/designs like this one, alongside the tried and tested NS2 shape, until he got his brand name of 'Spector' back.... This was one of the first Asian (Korean) models he had produced for the brand and it is of very high quality (maple, neck-thru, EMG BTS circuit). Kind of a precursor to the NS2000/4 model that came along soon afterwards...

GK are very popular in R&B/soul/funk circles. Check out the Legacy 800 head.

It does have a little bit of neckdive, but nothing a good strap can't counter...

1. No, the 'Classic' range has a weight relieved body. 2. EMG BTS is excellent. My 2nd fave after the Haz/LHZ. 3. No 😉🤣

Steer clear of using a Spector with monster cables. They have a habit of ruining the input socket.

https://riversidestudios.co.uk/see-and-do/immediate-family-qa-164125/ This is happening tomorrow night in London! Bass legend Lee Sklar has shared on Facebook that he will be there... and will take part in the Q&A.
