  1. You can buy one direct from the manufacturer at: https://michalik.cz/bp-4
  2. Bought some tuners from Thorsten. Great comms and fast delivery, cheers!
  3. Yep, the three classics now are: "Freebird!" "Play something you know....!" "Alexa! Next!" ......at least at my gigs..... 🤣
  4. No Danny Seraphine? No Todd Sucherman? But........ Meg White....? It's almost like 'Rolling Stone' ENJOY not having a clue about music.....
  5. If you love Steely Dan and Allman Bros.... and have just heard this.... go and listen to The Doobie Brothers (particularly Tiran Porter's bass work on the albums Captain & Me, What Were Once Vices.... and Stampede.
  6. That's because it's based on Genz Benz schematics...
  7. Wanted the Eric Carr (KISS) 2 coloured vinyl/poster set. Couldn't be arsed to hunt/queue at a record store for it. Went on ebay yesterday and got it from a record store for the same price. Job done. 😎
  8. Van's been found by the Police in a lock up. Gear was nearby...
  9. It's a Rebop5 not a Euro 5. Semantics but a different type of bass...
  10. Nerina Pallot at the London Palladium on Saturday night. Exquisite.... beautiful voice, great band, lovely songs and one of the best live sounds I've ever heard in a London venue 😎
  11. If you're happy I'm not sure why you'd change something? I don't like the DG pre, which is why I'm swapping mine out...
  12. Yep, I linked Bass Direct up with Lonnie West (LHZ) and persuaded Mark to bring some of his preamps (& pedal version) for the UK market. Bought 3 for myself too!
  13. Grab a Pulse II.... it has a gorgeous neck, great build quality, active EMGs and looks to die for. The 'Tonepump Jr' preamp is fine but you can get a richer tone by then upgrading to the full 'Tonepump' or a Haz copy LHZ03 Preamp. I own everything from custom US Spectors to almost entry-level ones and the Pulse II is imho the best value for money Spector you can buy...
  14. Only just catching up here having been away for 5 weeks. Terribly sad news
  15. Even cheaper.... https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005612389922.html?spm=a2g0o.detail.pcDetailTopMoreOtherSeller.1.37d4h3Bvh3BvIl&gps-id=pcDetailTopMoreOtherSeller&scm=1007.40050.354490.0&scm_id=1007.40050.354490.0&scm-url=1007.40050.354490.0&pvid=98338c90-5595-4843-9af9-0b0850cff6f7&_t=gps-id:pcDetailTopMoreOtherSeller,scm-url:1007.40050.354490.0,pvid:98338c90-5595-4843-9af9-0b0850cff6f7,tpp_buckets:668%232846%238114%231999&pdp_npi=4%40dis!GBP!83.55!41.77!!!102.68!51.34!%40211b441e17126756066084081e654c!12000033747356820!rec!UK!2681817010!&utparam-url=scene%3ApcDetailTopMoreOtherSeller|query_from%3A
  16. The 4X is definitely a bigger body, like a Gibson. The shorter headstock on the Spector makes it less unwieldy and very comfortable, though there is still an element of the typical TBird neck dive.
  17. You are correct! I miss the final date of the tour at St Albans as I'm off to California on holiday on that very day... 🫤
