I'm waiting on an update as to any other future releases, but in all honesty I don't see why they would as it would muddy the waters with the Euro series unless it comes with Aguilars and a lower grade build. It make more sense to me to have three distinct ranges and price points.... Far East bolt-on basses, through neck Euro basses and custom shop USA basses.

Buying a guitar from Canada-WISE money transfer.

I used WISE to buy a bass from Japan recently. Worked seamlessly.... -
Speak softly... and carry a big stick. In other words, be approachable and genial and make light friendly conversation on arrival...... but know your worth and don't feel intimidated. You are auditioning them as much as they are auditioning you. Chat with the drummer and keep eye contact with him. You will be seen to be locking in, he will appreciate it.... and his could be the vote you need if it comes down to you and one other. Let them know what other skills/useful things you bring to the table. e.g. are you great at listings, social media, have a following of your own, do you own a PA/van etc.... Good luck!

We should see some slightly cheaper prices here between Andertons, Bass Direct, GuitarGuitar and a few others....
-
Yep coming in sub £900 is a sweet point for sure. I think these will be big sellers.....

Update on RRP prices for these basses, which should be available within the next 4-8 weeks: Icon 4 Black or White gloss £819 Icon 4 Black Stain or Black Cherry £849 Icon 5 Black or White Gloss £839 Icon 5 Black Stain or Black Cherry £869 So you can expect to see them in the shops in the high £700's...... fantastic value!

No. They are available now on US custom models, anything lower than a Euro model would make no financial sense. If you want one on a Euro then you'll have to look out for a limited run/dealer special order or organise your own order of minimum 20 basses. I believe Bass Direct are looking at doing a custom run at some point which will have Badass bridges, but the price will probably be £2k+. These Indonesian basses are sub £1k.

That's a US custom shop model too.

Gorgeous basses, made by the legendary Stuart Spector. Looking forward to trying one out....

I'll be playing my final 'From Gold To Rio' dep of 2025 with this fabulous Spandau/Duran tribute show at the Wilde Theatre at Bracknell South Hill Park Arts Centre on Sat 11th October. Gonna be a great night with some wicked basslines https://www.southhillpark.org.uk/shp-events/from-gold-to-rio-the-greatest-hits-of-spandau-ballet-duran-duran/

They are NOW, but this is an Indonesian lower level model so doesn't apply.
-
They were only on the original late 70's/early 80's models and would make no sense on a lower level model.

The 3D images are of the US custom shop as he discusses using the same dimensions/shaping. The blue one is a US custom shop. You can tell by the bridge, pickups, figuring, matching headstock and inlays.

Looking forward to seeing her in Woking at the weekend!

I'm guessing that these will replace the Pulse II basses, which appear to have ceased production....

Please see the following link for anyone interested in upgrading their Euro/Far East Spectors:

Get this.... Awesome cab and all you'll ever need.

Great gig, depping with Duran/Spandau show 'From Gold To Rio' in Gainsborough on Saturday night. Almost full.... and receptive audience up and singing/dancing. Bass sounded great in my IEM's, and apparently out front too, really cutting/punching through. Gear used: Spector Dimension HP4 set flat, through dimed HAZardlAMPS preamp pedal, in to HXStomp with my own EQ'd GK800RB/Ampeg 810 setting (& chorus where needed).... and out to desk.

One of my fave Journey songs.... just stunning Featuring, among other things, Steve Perry's amazing, soulful vocals....Neal Schon's perfect guitar solo (Rick Beato's fave solo too!) and Ross Valory's chorus soaked bass and harmonics....
