  1. I'm on an "official bootleg" of a Peter Gabriel gig at Wembley Arena from the Growing Up tour, heckling in the intro to (I think) The Barry WIlliams Show. Also I'm in the Solsbury Hill from the Live Blood, in the footage from Hammersmith Odeon. It's the "old blokes dancing shot" from about 4m40s here (ps I am not dancing)
  2. Ffwd to about 15m20s, and your dancing Spider-Man icon is exactly in time with the vocal bridge section.
  3. Among many other things, I love the trouser choices going on here.
  4. Saw FORQ at Ronnie's a couple of weeks ago, really enjoyed it. I met another bassist in the interval and went to geek over Kev's board. He was good enough to chat us through his choices. Totally forgotten now of course.
  5. Bit of a dump though wasn't it. And those Behringer bass stacks Good falafels from the cookshop next door though! The whole School Road area has been earmarked for redevelopment into residential buildings.
  6. It's one arrow in a quiver of Things To Do With The Form. If you can do it well, it'll be good; less so if you fluff it. A bit like things in many other types of music.
  7. I've used Moog Taurus (1 and 3) for ages but never played chords. I don't have enough legs. Apparently the Taurus 3 is polyphonic but I've never needed/wanted to figure it out.
  8. You might like the first track on their album "The Universe Smiles Upon You", "Mr. White"
  9. I was receommended these guys a couple of weeks ago then promptly forgot their name (understandable tbh) Dig the Grolsch bottle washer straplocks
  10. I've been in four Genesis tribs, but not for the last ten years or so. Still got all the gear though, including Shergold double-neck and Moog Taurus. (For a short time I had Taurus 1 and Taurus 3 in the same house. Sadly playing both at the same time proved tricky due to insufficient limbs so the T1 is now has a new home and I spent the proceeds on living frivolously for a while).
  11. Nice! I was also featured once in a similar but less obvious sidebar, same issue as the controversial cover story with Gene Simmons in approx 1996. Also, I was once in a Russian version of Classic Rock, so I know what my name looks like in Cyrillic script now.
  12. enough basses
  13. Don't recall any whistling songs. Rather than rely on my failing memory, setlist.fm to the rescue: https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/ponty-eastwood-lagrene-trio/2018/barbican-hall-london-england-63efcac7.html
  14. Nigel Kennedy was in the audience as well btw. Overheard him crack a "he'll never get that under his chin" gag at Kyle.
  15. Yep I was there - really enjoyed it. He's quite tall isn't he? Listening to Samba De Paris now, one of his songs from last night. Good stuff.
  16. Tom Peterson. Also Doug Pinnick of Kings X has a custom 12 from Yamaha.
  17. Also, "lit" = "good" right?
  18. My reaction: it's zed not zee dude
