4. Great! I love Mick Karn. Oh.
5. How about this http://clappingmusicapp.com - it's quite minimal
6. (Who is he?) Does he do the voice-over for Strong Bad? http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail36.html
7. Your local harp school noticeboard? (I dunno, somewhere like Guildhall by the Barbican).
8. Here's the setlist from Friday in case it whets your appetite for next time: Soul Intro/The Chicken Cantaloupe Island Song For Kippie* Phase Dance Meeting of the Spirits Red Baron Birdland Chameleon Blessed Relief Jo-Z* Stratus * = Velcro original All Blues

10. Yep! Also available in 1/3, 2/3 and half pints! How odd. Other beers available as well at more realistic prices. Yep, just ok for me. I don't want to give away too much at this stage but I think I'm getting past the bass pyrotechnics stage in my advancing years. The longer acoustic bass piece towards the end was really good. (Sorry don't know its name - I'll be listening to the earlier SC solo work later and if I recognise it I'll post the name)
11.
How was the London gig ? A, um, 'domestic situation' blew up over the weekend which meant I couldn't go. I hope everyone had a good time.
£6.90 for a pint of Punk IPA. Otherwise, ok. Much preferred the acoustic set to the electric set (no setlist spoilers for now). The keys player on the right was pretty good too (took a great vocoder solo), sorry can't remember his name.
12. Just seen this on Dylan Howe's facebook page as well. Get well soon Norm! I'm sure all of BC is sending him reasons to be cheerful.
13. Zither? it's a fackin Koto sunshine Is something I never thought I'd write on the internet ever
14. *looks at topic title* Sometimes I play a J, sometimes a J#
15.
@3:28., They all step up and play so casually at the speed of light... Fabulous musicianship from top players.
I saw them at the Barbican a couple of weeks ago, with a drummer and guitarist friend. We all left like
16. You can see his current Elektric Band pedal board in this video, it's pretty basic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6C9G-4-Kmo Also around 3m20s you can see him get his cable futzed around his pedals just a like a normal person.
17. This means nothing to me
18. Is it this one? http://www.goodreads.com/work/editions/10086288-the-electric-guitar-an-illustrated-history I've got a previous edition, like this one on eBay: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rock-Music-The-Electric-Guitar-Fwd-by-Keith-Richard-/382105108937 (One of the other chapters is about the Parker Fly if that helps)
19. I'd love to hear Jeff Berlin's reaction to that (even having witnessed the Jeff vs Vic spats on fb recently)
20. I'll be at the London gig, bit of an odd choice of venue after the last couple of shows I've seen him play in recent times - at the Palladium and the Jazz Cafe.
21. Indeed, sounds interesting. Anyone remember Oysterhead? Maybe we shouldn't yet.
22. I played half a dozen numbers with my wedding band, all easy rock&roll/12-bar stuff. We'd rehearsed All Shook Up in Bb (as recorded) then at the last minute changed it to A to help the singer/lead guitarist. Having recently got married and all that, I totally forgot. Luckily everyone was trousered by this point (the main course was delayed 90 minutes, so everyone was drinking the plonk on an empty stomach) so it didn't really matter. Except to the singer, the other guitarist, the drummer (yes!) who all glared/laughed at me.
23. Have you tried playing along to mp3s of the originals in rehearsal? Plug a phone or mp3 player into the PA, you could fairly easily EQ it (or alter it in audio software) to better isolate or emphasise the vocal. Too elite for him?
