  1. awesome pedal. glwts!
  2. Bit of both, depending on the topic. Joe's going to get straight down to some serious theory. You're going to ffwd through Scott's family life before getting down to business. But then again I pay for Scott and watch Joe for free. Adam Neely is brilliant, if you like him also check out Jeff Schneider, a sax player but is going to bring some jazziness to your playing.
  3. I was really enjoying it up until around Funky Duck, then someone was sick on me so priorities changed somewhat
  4. Fish & Chips - go to Poppies in Shoreditch (preferably) or there's another one more central in Old Compton St or Camden. Other food - what do you like? There's at least one of eveything.
  5. Seen them a few times - first was in 1997! also notably with Steve Hackett helping out in the encores at the Royal Albert Hall. I always found it odd that they would only play "the album version" (to infinitesimal degrees of accuracy mind you) - is still the case?
  6. Still available. The spare is for Thursday btw, which isn't at all obvious from the above.
  7. Already posted, thanks. Seems to be quite a lot of turnover for these gigs though (and Friday isn't sold out)
  8. Going Friday! Got a spare single ticket (downstairs standing) if anyone wants it.
  9. One day there'll one magazine for everything, it'll be called "Stuff" no wait that's taken. "Things"?
  10. "English flavor" So will US BP be a reskinned version of UK BGM? Or will it be called BGM in USA?
  11. I'd advise not driving for your own sanity - but here's the local CPZs map. https://www.lambeth.gov.uk/sites/default/files/pts-cpz-map-22-08-2018.pdf - the area around the venue is in zone B, so you can park on-street after 5.30pm where road markings allow. Always defer to the parking rules where you park though just in case.
  12. I've got a spare for Thursday 4th if anyone's interested - downstairs standing, £43.40 covers face value and the usual fees. (breakdown available if required)
  13. If the v2 is anything like the v1 then it's a great pedal (I had a v1), and at a great price as well. GLWTS!
  14. Much to my delight, Mrs Knob has started entertaining the idea of having Jazz FM on in the kitchen. It gets a bit dinner jazz for me at dinner time (funny that) but I've discovered some corkers recently usually by dashing for my phone and firing up Shazam. A repeat listen recently has been Chip Wickham's two albums, both on spotify, La Sombra and Shamal Wind.
  15. ps I'm seeing this lot later today
  16. Tina Weymouth is fab. Stop Making Sense was the first record I bought**, and I've seen both Tom Tom Club and David Byrne solo a few times each. The very recent show at Hammersmith Odeon was simply amazing. ** I was trying to be cool with an American friend of mine about this, he said "oh yeah I was at one of the gigs they recorded for the film". That'll teach me
  17. I read the text under the Output knob as "Gas Reduction" If only
  18. If a band says you can't be in another band, leave that band. (the first one that is)
  19. I am a massively old 40-blahblah and go to a lot more jazz these days. New every time!
  20. Agree about Geoff Chalmers - in fact I think he and Scott have done combined tutorials at some point. There's a lot of crossover in Geoff's videos for electric players - walking bass, soloing, intonation, etc
  21. Are the straps any good?
  22. Good point - there's a lot there on SBL, but that means you can pick and choose what you consume and still get your VFM. I find some videos to be a bit fluffy before getting to the actual meat of the subject matter; and I've not really bothered with the forum seeing as I have you lot to play with.
  23. I just renewed for another year with the $98 offer. and the promise to myself that this year I will do the Rufus Philpot course, the Rich Brown course, the Adam Neely course, etc etc
  24. I was once trying to be cool in front of an American friend who is a half-decade ish older than me. Conversation about Talking Heads, me "Stop Making Sense was the first record I bought! I was only 14 or 15". Him "oh, ok. I was at one of the shows they recorded for that album. We snuck in through a fire exit"
  25. Also I was interviewed live on BBC News 24 in the queue to pick up tickets for the Led Zep reunion, the day before the gig. The first thing I did was to correct the BBC reporter live on air, which I suspect is probably treasonable
