1. 15/01/13 update - now traded, on it's way to Finland shortly..... Seasons greetings to you all! This came to me from Floyd Pepper earlier in the year and has totally fulfilled my expecations in terms of the Marcus single coil sound. Dood helped with the original set up and it is fantastic, just not for me. Problem is it doesn't work so well for me finger style and as this is really my mainstay I suspect it will only get very occasional use. I also need some other stuff so back on the roundabout once again.... Sale wise I'm asking what was paid for it, £650. This also includes the gigbag it came in plus the original preamp, the bass is retro-fitted with a bart TCT, I never tried the original as it sounds awesome with the mod. Trade wise - which is what I'd prefer tbh, I'm ideally after a mid-sized cab for gigs where 112 is too small and 612 too big. Really after a 210 or 212, must be lightweight. Cash adjustment my way is fine, your way is possible but I'd prefer not. Let me know what you think, I am also open to any other trade offers. I will post some pics asap, in the meantime here is the previous thread: http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1 Hope you don't mind Floyd, great bass just not for me it seems. Updated 28/12, here are some pics, crappy light I'm afraid so I will try and put some better ones up asap: All the best and Happy New Year to you all Basschat. Andy
2. I think it's reasonable to note the similarities here but most important what a great bass. Have a bump on me.
3. now gone, thanks for the offers, hopefully I've replied to all pms ABD
4. Quick update - thanks essexbasscat and bassbus - I just threw this up quickly earlier today without checking what these retail for so £40 is crazy, apologies. How about £20 but I think for that it'll need to be collected as the shipping will be too much hassle... Cheers!
5. The black and yellow collapsible model. A couple of years old but never really used as I only tend to use one bass at a time! No idea what these are now but it is a decent sturdy bit of kit so say £40? In Norwich but I'll post at buyers expense. Cheers Andy
6. sh*t the bed A beauty...
7. Hi, Nice amp - two questions: 1 do the channels blend or is it tube/ss only 2 is the fan a noisy bugger. Think I used to have the 900w version of this which was great but similar to a wind tunnel. Andy
8. Hey Jim, I used to have one years ago. Got rid due to the weight but it was a great amp and I would think it's pretty much perfect for you. Trust the force/mesaboogie.... ABD
9. Yes indeed, thanks for the feedback chaps. It really is the case that things are hard to move at the mo. Life has moved on since I originally put this up and the sale is no longer quite so critical so keen to here of any trades. Very interested in P bass old school style or a decent backup amp...
10. Pricedrop bump, I'm not using this and needs to go...... Would also px for a decent P bass with telestyle headstock
11. Brand new, had them a few months for a project, opened the pack tonight, trimmed 2 inches off the E string then realised they're medium scale. Doh! AD and G not even uncoiled yet. £15 or trade for a decent set of long scale flats to fit a Fender Jazz.
12. Just finalised the trade of my ACG recurve for B-string's Wood & Tronics Zoid. Good communications throughout the trade but the W&T did not arrive as described and required some corrective work (and cost) to put right. Lot's of other tooing and froing as well on shipping insurance which failed completely. The bass is now really good so I would describe this as a trade with a broadly happy ending albiet one that was a little difficult to get to. Wanted to post this in the spirit of the forum but remember there are always two sides to these things so use this feedback with caution!!
13. Thanks MB1, will give him a shout
14. The weight/comfort point is a good one. Thomann do a wheeled one: http://www.thomann.de/gb/gard_gwt_14_trolley_f_2_e_baesse.htm Looks interesting although my concern is that whole point of a gigbag - imo - is to cut down on the weight an hassle. Whilst this looks pretty servicable it's kind of heading towards a case. I suppose you still have the convenience of two basses in one. I checked out the mono the other day, looks great but it was a little heavy with two basses in (albeit one was a hefty 7 string).
15. Thanks guys - lets point it all towards chris's original thread as that's already got plenty of discussion
16. Massively underrated. Let me know if you change your mind re trades.
17. Here it is: You'll need to collect it I'm afraid....
18. Any views on these? I'm considering one at the moment, ideally budget around £100 mark, needs to be pretty heavy duty to protect my babies.....
19. Here it is.....
20. It's a gator 4u rack, £40,in Norwich, what more can I tell you? Used but very good condition.
21. Very nice - had one of these in my JB for a while. It's all good........
22. Hi - pics to follow but this is available, Electroharmonix Clone Theory Chorus and vibrato pedal. Used but in good nick, the usual velcro on the bottom. Nice chorus but not quite what I'm looking for. £50 shipped or hit me with trades for other pedals. I'm don't need any drive, eq or compression stuff at the mo. Always interested in weird noise making machines with strange names. Cheers, Andy
