This is a mentally fab bass. Re the stringing I have a w&t 5 34 scale with exactly the same nut. It is designed for e-c but unless you are planning to use a mahoosive b string the nut accommodates b-g no probs at all. This might be different of course but I think it would be fine...

The main motivation behind moving this is that I really don't want it hanging on my wall not getting played - cliche - it really does deserve better! Anyway, hopefully all pms are replied to. Crazy stuff, it's up it's down. Well it's up now and needs to go. The B is huge, and the playbility is tremendous. Very smooth for a bolt on neck I think and the bass manages to cover lots of tones without ever really losing it's own character. I've used it mainly with a DB751 amp and have been very very happy with how it sounds. The bass does have a very wide neck. The edges are rolled though so it's actually very comfortable. I have big hands and it's never been an issue for me, for a 35 it actually feels like sightly less I would say. All in all a terrific bass. Very cool, excellent build quality and component parts (really love the locking tuners, comfortable to play and wear, and most important sounds like a really class modern 6. Smooth, warm, clear and not to hi-fi or fussy like some. I'm a particular fan of the smooth treble that the bass produces - even boosted with the pre it never get's harsh or brittle. Bass comes with a hardcase and I will ship it internationally at your risk and cost. It's in Norwich and you are welcome to come and try it out together with light refreshments and bass banter. There has been a lot of feedback on this bass as it's made it's way around the forum in the last few years and as far as I can see all of it has been good. I would agree in that this is a terrific and quite unusual instrument, I think its travel is only really down to GAS and the fact that many of us tend to move the gear we are not using in favour of new stuff that we (think) need. For the money you can't go wrong with these. Lot's of real estate for muchos pedalos, solid construction and reasonable protection with the bag. I don't know about the condition but this would make an excellent start for anyone wanting to beging the 'messing about with pedals' journey.

I've got one of these chambered with a rosewood board. Even though it came to me needing some tlc it's one of the best basses I've owned, absolutely love it. This one looks like a beauty too (the nordstrands are killer), glwts, someone will pick up a great bass here...

I have something lined up to replace this and the seller is very generously prepared to take a hit on that. So, in order to move this on I've dropped the price to GBP 1,000 which is passing on my seller's cut and taking a hit of my own. This is now a ridiculous deal for this bass, in fact I think I can hear nursey coming up the stairs with my medicine. Come on folks, get this bought!!!
