1. When is a single cut not a single cut.... Glwts
2. I wouldn't be without mine, someone get this bought. The octaver is ok but there are so many great sounds in these it's mad not to. Definitely not a toy but a real credible gigging FX. Easy to use too... Glwts
3. Thanks Kev. Just been playing it this morning and it is wonderful. I have started praying to the god of bass to magic a 5th string onto it (and a 6th perhaps!). To anyone interested I'd just like to point out that I will not be around so much for the next couple of weeks. I will do my best to reply to pms etc as soon as possible but please don't take offence if there are not the usual prompt ABD coms! Normal service will be resumed later in June! Cheers
4. Really nice,bump for a great bass
5. Bank holiday Monday - good day to buy a Dolphin.........
6. For sale my RH750. Great amp. Super clean, powerful and very flexible. There is nothing not to like here but I've had the chance to pick up something a bit more rare, fruity and to my liking so this will have to make room. The amp is in mint condition, still under warranty (purchased from bass direct late last year). The RC4 was purchased separately second hand but is also in excellent condition. Long connection lead is included. Don't know what else to tell you really, I'm sure most of you know all about these and there's plenty of info on the web. There is one issue which you will see immediately from the pics. In the last two weeks 5 of the 7 control knobs have broken. The amp has not had an impact or anything, they have just come loose due to the fins inside the knobs breaking off so the knobs loose their grip on the pot shafts. It's rubbish and I've told TC this, some replacements are on the way. I've been using some high quality rubberised bass control knobs instead. These work like a dream, don't obscure the illuminated display and fit much better than the originals. This said I fully appreciate that they are not the 'right' knobs and the colour does not quite match. I'll be sending the replacements onto however buys the amp. There is no gig bag but the amp fits really well into a standard laptop sleeve. I've been using a cheap neoprene one which has kept the amp in great condition. The amp will ship in the original packing with manual etc. I'll include a power cord if you need one. I think that's it! The amp is priced to move quickly given that I have incoming, I'm also trying to reflect the 'knobgate' scandal into the pricing. Please no offers or trades. I believe the prices are now around £700 for the amp and the footswitch probably £50-80 so this is hopefully a good price for an amp which is essentially new. UK shipping is included, overseas would be extra. Cheers! Abd
7. Massive bump - more of a material collision - from me, was previously my bass. For various reasons Kev and I can't undue what has been done, damn you GAS! GLWTS buddy
8. Rainer, Are you a bass player or pornographer, I can't decide. Another epic beast from the Mr Bassman stable, glwts
9. Great rig, and I'd love to know what's lurking in the background behind it! GLWTS Margus!
10. I've only very recently completed a trade for this marvellous bass but have come to the realisation that 4 strings are just not going to work for me. This had always been the most desirable and sought after Warwick model for me and whilst I've got great love for it I'm not minded to just leave it hanging on the wall. Kev, I hope you don't mind I've borrowed the specs and photos from your original post: Bass: Dolphin Pro I 4 Year: 2010 Month: January Machineheads: Warwick Machine Heads Nut: Just-A-Nut III Brass Neck Wood: Ovangkol neck with maple veneer stripes, 3 laminations Fretboard: Wenge fingerboard (fretted) Inlay: Dolphin Inlays Fingerboard Radius: 20" Scale length: 34" (long scale) Fret quantity material and size: 26 Jumbo Bronze (extra hard) frets (width: 2.9 mm / height: 1.3 mm) Body Shape: Curved Bodyshape Bodywood (Topwood / Backwood): Ovangkol body Pickups: Active MEC J/TJ pickups Electronics: Active MEC 2-way electronics Pot layout: Volume P/P & Balance stacked / Treble & Bass stacked with P/P for splitting the TJ pick ups Bridge system: 2-piece Warwick Bridge Strap system: Warwick security locks Construction: Hidden Neck Right Handed Natural Oil Finish Hardware Colour: Gold hardware Weight: 9lb 4oz included accessories: Warwick User Kit, Hiscox Hardcase I'm happy to provide some current pics but life has not moved on since these and it looks like Kev is a much better photographer than I am. So the bass is valued at £1,800 which I understand to be a fair price. Cash sale is fine of course but I'm also very open to trades for basses of comparable value, just not 4 strings please. If anyone has an identical 5 string version of this bass and would would like to lose a string get in touch!!! I'm in Norwich and you are welcome to try the bass. I can't overstate how wonderful this is and frankly I'm very disappointed that it's just not going to work out. Thanks all, Abd
11. Ok for amps at the moment but thanks for the offer ...and closed now
12. Sorry no covers with any of them
13. Hi all, I've got three tecamp cabs to move. This is something of a feeler - the sale is to fund a barefaced S12T and depending on how this hangs together (or not as the case might be) I might have to withdraw some or all. The cabs have been on here before and in fact I've just bumped a previous post of mine for the 6x12. There are three all together: An XS112, M212 and XL612 The 112 is 8 ohms, the other two are 4 ohms. This is a quick post I'm afraid but all of the details and specs of the cabs are on the tecamp website, of course pm your questions as well. Prices are £500 for the 612, £400 for the 212 and £375 for the XS112. If you would like the whole family £1200! I'm in Norwich and am not looking to ship the cabs at this stage although I would be prepared to meet within a reasonable radius subject to diary and petrol costs. Cheers! Abd
14. Bumpus giganticus cabriolet
15. Beast. What's the weight like?
16. Traded my Sei for Kev's Dolphin. A good experience all round, good coms and dialogue throughout, a reasonable deal for us both and a quickly and safely executed at the end (despite my courier leaving the Sei outside Kev's house). With regards to the Dolphin Kev: I'll make sure I play a tuna day on it It's probably unsuitable for practicing scales Hopefully will be a keeper, I'll try not to flipper too quickly Looking forward to trying my fav tunes on it; like a sturgeon (Madonna), pick up the pisces (average whitebread), cod bess the child, mackrell the knife, and of course anything by Thelonious Monk (fish) As you can tell this deal was no accident, it happened on porpoise ....and spent :-)
17. Lots of bass for the money. I would love this but have no money. Not a good combo. Glwts
18. I love this bass every time I see it come up. Even by my standards thought it might just be a bit too exotic for a wedding gig or down the pub. I can't access the link - would be interested to hear how it sounds. Each of the W&T are so different... GLWTS
19. Thankfully not a 5 or this would be an expensive weekend. Stunning, Glwts
20. My dream rig from back in the day. Only ever saw the mp11 in the bass centre wapping. Now I am old enough to afford it I'm no longer young enough to lift it! Glwts
21. Wonderful rig. Sadly my back will not thank me for it. Glwts, really underrated amps.
