My first 6 back in the day on Ltd with gold hardware. Absolutely epic and I had no idea what a great bass it was at the time. It was a very heavy mofo though. Worth sitting down on gigs for...
Just to say that I had a go on this last week and it's a really nice bass*. Just left the EQ flat and some very nice tones from the pickups. Action is superb, very very playable although perhaps a little tight for me in the dusty end of the neck. Some really sweet sounds without being brittle or too high-fi (not being familiar with graphite necks I wasn't sure what to expect).
A very nice bass if you are in the market for a 6 of this ilk.
*please note that I am not affiliated to Pulley in any way or otherwise under contractual/other influence!! he is a top bloke though and I'm sure this will be an easy deal for however decides to go for this beast...
Oh no - my old bass, I thought it was a happy reunion, not to be I guess.
Have a bump on me mate, this is a fab bass and the price is loopynutsfruitcake. Still think it has the best B in the world, a totally barg for someone.
Ok so lots and lots of interest but no-one has pulled the trigger on this yet.
I'm bumping once more now with a shortly-needing-medication price drop to GBP 1,100
Really can't do any more than this.....
This bass is mint and a great example of a progress 5. I've played it and it is set up beautifully.
Pete is a top guy, for a trombone player, and you can all deal in confidence!
In short I don't know. My understanding is that the previous owner changed the preamp to an East model and at the time removed the coil tap.
I've done nothing to the bass other than fit a dummy switch to cover the old hole!
4candles was the prior owner and may be able to advise....
Cheers guys.
First up I'm OK for nuts right now but thanks for the offer.
Sound wise it's difficult to say but I would describe it more as a modern j sound. If you tapped the humbuckers you might get something a bit more traditional I guess... In the ear of the beholder I think!
