1.
Hair spray...? Then, there is that thing in Sweden called Fy Spray that makes cats not like and avoid things sprayed. Don't know what it is called in English though.
theres some stuff called Get Off (appropriately) and Frontline also do a repellant (frontline for your backline) a water pistol also works quite well but you have to catch them doing it
2. i'm an Ibanez SR fanboi, a lot of bass for the money and the premium range are something else easily worth double what you pay for them
3.
Out of curiosity, more of what?
dancing girls, booze, illegal substances and one night out you'll never remember
4. any mods to a classic bass would devalue it as its no longer original. yes a luthier could do the work for you but no idea how much something like that would cost
5. is there are reasoning behind the stripey shirts? or is it all they own?
6. great video here from andertons reviewing the RM heqad and cabs edit: i realise now this is probably what Kevin was talking about up there ^
7. a pointy neck has its uses for proding the singer when they are showing off too much
8. good to hear, ive been using them for years now, and my mag 300 recently died mid gig so might send it to them for a checkup
9. cheers guys yeah the kids had a ball, air drumming inflatable guitar playing and running around like aeroplanes (which is the law at this type of function) just watched it again and theres quite a few mistakes from me, tad embarrassed
10. agree there which is why we check the FOH mix carefully, geuss im fortunate that i found my sound fairly quickly and just tweak to the room
11.
There is a reason why it is the most popular bass... and a lot of players would do themselves a huge favour if they had one. Especially the ones i see/hear. The one thing a P-bass really shouldn't be is weak at underpinning a band...even gtrs know this which is why when bass players have a sound problem, even the gtr player will say..get a P
never had that problem
12.
If you don't know what you want, then get a good P-Bass as that is what 90% of bass players should have even if they don't know it.
sorry disagree with that entirely, a P bass is the last thing i want even if the song we are playing was recorded on one. if a tribute band then maybe but for covers anything goes
13. nice, the only thing that puts me off is the size of the headstock, hows the neck dive on that?
14.

thats one way of creating a buz around a new bass
15.
Seriously this is a top notch piece of kit. If it were made in the US or UK it could demand over £2000. The premium fret edges are so smooth and the whole thing just feels classy. The last time I played something like this was an Overwater I had for a while.
^^this, amen to that
16. stunning bass, part of me regrets not going for the five string version of that, looks like youre more than happy. yeah those nordys can growl quite nicely too but not too much to get muddy, i certainly noticed they made mistakes more noticeable (urgh horrible grammer)
17. thats why i got mine delivered to work haha and the excellent case made it easy to carry home
18. 32 views and no response, geuss that means it was shiiite
19. nice idea, what are they like with thumb contact, i have a tendancy to wrap my thumb over the top on certain fingerings and wondering what the resistance is
20.
I figured I wanted something totally different to what I have (which is Fender/Musicman sounds) and something more suited to home playing (than covers bands) and that I might even record those songs in my head with (which are very soloesque).
well you will have acheived that as it is tonally very different, you can get an approximation of a P type tone by soloing the neck pickup but its still different (i have the same electrics in mine) though i use mine in our covers band and it sits nicely, i like to leave the eq on the bass as standard, part of me wishes id gone for the BTB over the SR but i like to stick with what i know
21. very nice, the ibanez premiums are alot of bass for your money, though the BTB is going to sound similar to the SR1605 as it has the same pickups and pre amp but i think they sound nice and growly bit of a sh*t show from GG though
22.
'he who blurted it, squirted it'
hmm thats a whole different clean up job entirely nice tone though i was expecting the amp to be significantly bigger given the early pic of the box it came in
23. oh go faster stripes looks a beast
24. like billy, not in my top list but no denying hes a monster bass player, his recent work with Mr Big and Winery Dogs is great (undertow is awesome) but his solos get a bit old sometimes. would i like to be able to play like him? hell yeah but its never going to happen
