1. we've just got the X32 Rack and its awesome if you need more inputs, sound quality is top notch and our drummer is happy that we can mic everything up. recording from it as well is a good feature. if the xr18 is anything like it it will be a good bit of kit
2. the SR506 will be a very nice bass, i have the SR500 and had i not required a 5 string and the chance to upgrade i'd still be playing it. Alot of bass for the money. They are also very light if thats a requirement.
3.
Edit: Didn't MM/EB have a Cutlass model back in the 80s - one completely different to this one?
yeah, the graphite necked one with a stingray type body
4.
I look at it this way, I don't kid myself that I'm any great player, but I am sure of one thing, I'm here once, and once only. So as long as you're not spending money you haven't got I'd say have it mate.
youre not helping, i have some money there but can i justify 800 quid on a bass cab? how much do i value my testicles? do i have enough wife points? (sorry that last one is stolen) i've never had gas like this before, i always thought barefaced were cool for what they did but nothing got me, must be something about 4x10s that floats my boat and a 4x10 that works effectively gives me the horn
5.
Mine will be here soon.....
stop it, i really need to stop looking in this thread or i'll be doomed
6. yeah thats not helping my gas either
7. interesting read this, i've been wondering what the differences are for each type of amp, class A, B, and D, call me stupid but i have no clue. I have an older amp which i assume is class A or B and i have a new amp and due to its small size i assume its class D but what the difference? oh and while im on stupid questions why no Class C?
8. not my sort of thing usually, and as it started i thought it wouldnt last long but just couldnt turn it off. very good edit to say, that last song just wow so technical and flawless
9. maybe its sooo lightweight its nearly impossible to see
10.
It looks mean, yet compact... no bigger than my Schroeder 21012L. Good work.
dammit that looks the perfect size to go with my dinky RM800... deep breath and relax, you do not need this......
11.
Ok so I have my beautiful (actually kinda menacing) bf410 sat right here. Apparently it's the first out the door! I wish I'd figured out how to upload pix! It's tiny for a 4x10, only a couple of inches bigger than my 4x8! My ABM500 looks perfect on top. Roll on Monday night rehearsal, I'm going to melt a drummer!
i am not jealous i am not jealous i am not jealous i am not jealous i am not jealous i am not jealous i am not jealous i am not jealous i am not jealous i am not jealous i am not jealous
12. forgot to ask how does the B compare to your 1605? i've found it on the 1805 to be pretty good
13.
It does look odd in the picture, although not so noticable when you are playing. Strangely I went to audition with a new band today, the drummer asked if he could play the bass, played it for a bit and failed to notice it was a fan fret!
it is not quite as extreme as say a Dingwall and everyone says you get used to it very quickly (i've yet to try one) it is a very minor point about the fret board overlap so i guess when playing its invisible. Really love the finish on the body Ibanez do have some nice woods
14.
Good choice, for me their best is The Moor
tbh the whole of the Black Water park album is amazing but then there really isnt any of their output that is substandard so The Moor is up there, can also hold The Ocean, Porcupine Tree and Steven Wilson up along side them
15. struggling with this tbh but some of my faves are Tommy the Cat - Primus Squeeze Me Macaroni + Sweet Charity - Mr Bungle Mother of Violence - Peter Gabriel Black Water Park - Opeth C'est la Vie - Protest the Hero oh ok that is five(ish) but i could list alot more
16. i find the Andy Cairns bass they have a little odd, he played guitar, maybe its just me
17. wish i had the cash for this, love my current 4x10 but this will be something else me thinks, like others have said a 4ohm would be a great idea cant see me ever needing more than 1 4x10. but i don't need it but i don't need it but i don't need it...
18. that shop probably exists for the chelsea yahoos who are stupid enough to pay that kid of money. i work down the road from this place but i'm not sure i could bring myself to cross the threshold
19.
Is it? Shame. Still, looks gorgeous. I need to figure out if I have enough wife survival points to pull this off.
nice bass, where do i get me some of those points? could do with some
20. the only thing that lets it down is they havent angled the join of fret board to headstock, so a bit of the fretboard sticks out past the nut. still looks sweet though.
21.
Someone bought me one of those cloth covered Fender leads with a right angled jack a few years ago and I must say I rather like it, it coils away very neatly even in my neanderthal hands. It also matches the flight case my Precision came in, as if that really matters
the one i currently use is a Fender Gold bass guitar lead but they dont make them anymore, been very good so far but i'll be getting an OBBM one sometime soon as i could do with a longer cable, the fender one is only 12ft
22. not bought an instrument cable from OBBM yet but the speaker cable i have is first class, great prices too and hes a very helpful guy
23. hmm ok, had a quick look on ibanez site and they say the MK1 are split coil and the BH1 are dual coil, no idea what that means in real terms mind
24. they are lovely basses but then i'm slightly biased i was tempted by this, are they USA barts or the MK1's?
