1. though worst of all was our rythmn guitard turning up at a wedding reception and forgot his shoes (we had to wear suits) so he played whilst wearing open toed sandles and ... AND SOCKS!
2.
Why on earth would you need a reference point for 'Mustang Sally'?
cos its a right tricky one that
3. we USED to have a singer that refused to not have his stand with all his poorly organised lyric sheets in a dog eared folder on it, did my nut and no matter how much we asked him to learn the songs he wouldnt get rid of the stand, even putting on glasses to read certain songs cos they had been printed out too small ffs! classical music or where you are site reading then fine but in the dog a duck situation go duck yourself
4.
I suggest a banana, a tomato, and a roll of gaffa tape.
wtf? wish i was clever
5. we run our passive carlsbro tops with active evolution subs, but the subs have their own feed from the desk the tops are run from the power amp, daisy chaining would over stress the amp no doubt hence the weak sound as the signal would be weak, thats how i see it anyway
6. not tried warick strings but for longevity Elixirs Nickle plated strings are brilliant. they last for ages, typically i wont change a set for about 9months/a year but then i only play every 2 weeks or so and even then they dont really need changing just my head says they should
7. what the f*** is that? clearly somebody has been enjoying far too much local cider
8. i nearly fell for one of them before i stuck with the SR route equivalent, they are truely stunning basses (thats probably not helping) and if they were USA made type basses would easily cost double
9. ive never had the chance to learn musical notation. so standard sheet music is useless for me, where as tab (or TAB it really doesnt matter) i can sight read fairly easily though havent needed to do it for ages as i play mostly by ear but in just a lowly covers player
10. pointy headstock - check chunky body - check 80's style - check good for metal? - check
11. nice bass, those nordstrands are great sounding pickups the premium range of ibanez basses are really nice
12.
Do bloody tons of gigs on X32s. If you save your show file and email it to me I'll happily have a quick look at how its configured and send it back with any changes I think it needs to make it work.
excellent, thanks can you get the show files off an ipad?
13. yeah the pre/post is on the selected mix bus not global, its weird as the mix buses are set as monitor mixes yet have control of the main mix, something is crossing over somewhere
14. ah i did not know that, every days a school day, well at least for me it is
15.
I wouldn't have to stack them vertically. As long as they were the same I wouldn't suffer too much OCD. I'd also need an amp that would happily run at 2ohms, too.
oh yeah forgot about that but if you didnt stack them vertically and you did have an amp that could run at 2 ohms you have the phase cancellation that the 4x10 doesnt suffer from
16.
Well I'm not a regular 4X10 guy... but as you say, a Barefaced 4X10 is a completely different kettle of fish... hmm... dammit. Oh well, I've got a month to think about it and get the extra cash together.
think of it this way, if you got snother 2x10 you would have a modular rig but you would have to stack them vertically, could see that falling over, 4x10 nah worries
17. i try and find a couple of reference notes and then flesh it out from there this however sounds like an odd tuning and this site with some of their tabs confirms this, https://play.riffstation.com/results?q=%22Lantl%C3%B4s%22 , so i reckon youre gonna be hard pushed to nail down their tuning let alone the line
18.
Nah, I'm not a 4X10 person. I am however an 8X10 person, but even I think that would be overkill for a country band. If I were going to play RAWK I'd either go for an Eight10 or possibly three Two10s. With an Ampeg SVT-CL. But the Two10 seems as if it will most likely be more than adequate for my current needs.
you sure, cos the barefaced 4x10 is like 2 2x10s in one handy package, just with a bit more heft, and we all like a bit more heft
19.
And as I don't actually have the One10 any more anyway, it's a moot point.
ah, furry muff but i stand by my assumption you have a problem and by the fact the one ten has gone youve..... you get the idea suppose the natural progression here is a 4x10, you know you want to
20.
You need to set your aux mixes to pre fader instead of post fader.
we tried all the options in that menu and got the same result no matter what selection we had, thats what is throwing us

I'll hold off on a cab review until I've gigged it on Sunday. I may review it as part of a rig and include my views on the Markbass SA450 I'll be using it with. Yes, I know it's been discontinued. Meanwhile, here are some pics:
you sir have a problem very nice looking cab, can you stack you one ten on top for extra faceness?
22. think this is the first half decent video of us playing the sound has come out fairly well. Cancer charity gig at the Montrose Club in Sidcup playing to about 150 people good evening had by all. a few bum notes but in general not too bad https://www.facebook...54417470669432/
23. we only use the X32-Q app for monitor mixes (thats all its designed for) and do the main setup of the desk with an ipad, though i'm wondering if we need to do the main setup with a computer and do the final tweaking FOH with the Ipad. i'm not on facebook but maybe i'll have to do that to get some answers
