  2. When I joined my current band they had a Facebook page and all their music on Spotify, YouTube, etc (paying distrokid). None of them actually doing much to promote the band. The Spotify account had 1 monthly listener and I think that was me trying to learn the songs. I'm not great at being a 'content creator' or whatever it is but I started an Instagram account for them and then they let me loose on the Facebook page! Last month we were up to 61 monthly listeners, over 400 followers on Instagram and nearly 800 (750 other bands 😄) on Facebook...the aim is to break even with streaming... we're getting there but still a long way to go! Can we use this thread to exchange insta follows? Is that allowed? We are Felis Leo btw 🤘🦁
  3. This is perfect for something I'm doing next week - reckon you can get delivered by the 7th? Thanks 😊
  4. Posting this here in case anyone is looking for a PA amp, although it will knock out 700W into 8 ohms mono bridged as an instrument amp. Hugely versatile 1U rackmount Class D design only 25cm deep, lots of inputs (see photos) output to speakers from speakon or binding posts Brand new, tested working, but never used in anger. Courier would be about £15
  5. I've been looking for a monitor mixer with eq that did not require a 0dB mixer output to work properly, and I recently found this: It is designed to run from a USB port, so it can be powered by a USB charger or battery pack. It has a balanced mic/line input, and a second mic/line input with less gain options, but a hi-z instrument input, and 2-band eq and pan on each channel. I'm using it with a bracket to enable it to be belt mounted, and a usb battery pack that fits in a pocket. My bass cable now has a T junction so this mixer can pick up the bass signal, and my tie-clip microphone on my bass strap picks up stage ambient sound, and I can set the mix to suit me. It would also take a line feed from the FOH mixer etc. It worked well on the first outing other than my tendency to move the sliders while altering the channel volume, and my belt loop lash-up failing. My MK2 has a cover over the sliders and a better belt mount. In summary, it's ightly larger than a Behringer P1, or an LD HP1, but it's cheaper than either, and a lot more versatile, and it can be left on your rig, or attached to you without too much effort. David
  6. Damn, not only does this tick every bass box I have, I'm due to be in Leeds next week as well 🤔
  7. This is a small belt-mounted preamp with the very high input impedance that you need to correctly match piezo pickups Battery powered, one input jack, one output jack - just plug and play. As new condition. Postage included in the price Size is 5.5cms wide, 3.5cms deep (plus belt clip) and 11cms high (including the gain control)
  8. Fender Mustang JMJ short scale for sale in excellent condition. Strung with LaBella (MUS) flats, the ones designed for strung through Mustangs. I found a few rough fret ends below the G string and had the Bass Gallery sort them out to make for a really fast smooth neck. While it was with them I had them add some shielding to the cavities and do a setup too. Plays great now Comes with original fender Gig bag Weight is 8 pounds or 3.66 Kg Price is £920 + £20 for UK courier. Im bases in Pinner HA5 and collection, meet up, or shipping is all good. I’m not looking for trades, just cutting back.
  9. From memory the EQ and controls/layout were different
  10. American Original 50’s Precision in very good overall condition. There are a few tiny marks and dings but no bare wood showing! The nitrocellulose finish is of course quite prone to picking up nicks and dings. It has a lovely neck, which shows some nice flaming with a 9.5 inch fingerboard radius. It has the raised pole pieces under the A string. Fitted with a set of well worn-in flats, it sounds exactly as you would want a ‘vintage’ P to sound. Complete with a Gator case and unmounted chrome covers. Shipping within the UK is fine, I have a spare box. Please feel free to ask any questions or for any additional pictures.
  11. I have one of these, a great feeling and vibrant sounding jazz - the finish is amazing in person! good luck with the sale!
  12. Just got some cheap Spinfit CP100 tips for my KZ ZS10, on sale at £9.49 for two pairs delivered (large size) here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325357841077? Much better fit than stock tips, instant seal and don't fall out or work loose. Although they're for a smaller 4mm (ZS10 are 5mm I think?) diameter IEMs they push on fine with a little bit of encouragement and feel very secure.
  13. Yes, I had heard that the batteries were consumed at such a rate that it was effectively unreliable/unsustainable to rely on them for power when gigging or recording. 20 hrs is more than I had thought you'd get. FWIW I like Alembics enough that I could live with having to secure consistent access to outboard power for gigging etc.
  14. Up for sale is my limited run Ferrari red Rickenbacker 4003 bass from 1993 with origonsl case. It plays and sounds great and has the bonus of a hipshot black bridge and I think these were made for just one year so it's very rare. It is in great condition with no knocks or dings & virtually no fret wear so has clearly not been played much. There's no paint wear on the back of the neck, no headstock dings and the only signs of use are some buckle rash marks on the back and some very light surface lacquer cracks. I swore I'd never let this go having sought one out for ages but an unforeseen bill means I have to let this one go. No trades unless its something under £500. Bass is on the Wirral but happy to drive 50 miles or so for a meet up or to ship at the buyer's cost. Thanks for looking and some better pics will be posted tmrw.
  15. Would you like a broom with that statement? I disagree with this. Like you, I take the boy scout attitude of "be prepared" and go to gigs with extra basses, leads, amp heads, stings etc... because I am a pro. The pros I play with are the same and cover themselves and others. We have saved each other's skins and gigs many times and enjoy doing so. I find it's those that think they are pro that don't actually behave as a pro. Yes there are exceptions, and I'll conceded that. I've just started a big pro theatre gig and am joyous in the professionalism of the group and crew. I found it difficult to stay out of the way and not help as the crew are so competent. I just show up with my basses, pedal board, leads and IEM and off we go. Lots of great compliments from returning fans so it must be working.
  16. Recently purchased this upright bass. Have no clue as to what model/year it is. There is no stamp, serial or name anywhere. Looks quite modern. Thanks
  17. The hardest thing with any new skill is persistence. You’ll make rapid gains then hit a plateau. Find the thing that keeps you playing…
