  2. Yeah the Demon was a custom order from Ryan. It's 2 demon circuits each with clean blend, then master bypass and circuit select foot switches. I originally had the regular Demon with second drive mod but had issues balancing the 2. This means i can set volume and tone as well as just drive.
  3. This has got a nice feeling neck - it’s got some heft to it - I played the JMJ and I prefer this neck - but I put Alnico 5 pups in this to get the bite the JMJ has - but no worries a JMJ is a good bass - though I think this is better but short scale isn’t for me hence sale
  4. Cheers, if it wasn’t for my EBS Stanley Clarke pre being necessary on my board (as I double on EUB) then this would be staying with me.
  5. I agree, my overload has the same and I don’t really notice the lack of headstock when playing.
  6. Yeah it’s a bit steep on price. Definitely want to see some reviews before considering one. Also a bit pricey when there are limited options for finishes with no options to change electronics.
  7. I agree the that the CQ20, or more likely CQ18 for me, does look like a tasty piece of kit! The one thing that my cheaper Soundcraft MTK can do though, is multi-track recordings.
  8. Yaardcore, 'Say that you love me'
  9. I guess a digital desk is your next purchase? I lucked out and made my purchase just before the price hikes. £330 for mine and the Behringer XR18 was only £10 more at the time. If mine ever goes down I'm looking at the A&H CQ20 as a possible replacement at £780, it's a bit more flexible than mine but that is a huge price hike. The XR18 is now £550. However being able to mix and eq their own monitor mix is probably what you need to do to persuade your band to fully embrace in-ears.
  10. Hi Rene. sorry the bass is already sold again. good luck wth your sale. all the best Lars
  11. The problem with a lot of early headless instruments, and some more recent and ill considered ones, is that you get that running out of neck feel you describe, that's because the neck just stops, and feels totally alien. I recall feeling exactly the same when I first tried a Hohner Jack too! Other manufacturers now, especially decent luthiers build a volute into the rear of the neck so the feel is indistinguishable from their headed options, like on my ACG >>
  12. If your question is, why do I use a 50W amp when the cab can handle 750W dirty and around 1000W clean, the answer is I use the Ampeg at home because it sounds nice and I wouldn't get to use it otherwise. I used it live with my previous Super Compact a couple of times and it had to be driven pretty hard just to be audible. For the last 6/7 years I've used a Mesa D800 live, which puts out 800W. However, as discussed above, I may try the Ampeg live with the Three10 at some point, but I'm not expecting much. As you say, it is only 50W, and even 50 TUBE watts don't go that far. The question niggling at me now is, why use such a small amp with such a big cab... I need a bigger 800W amp!

  14. Many moons ago , we strike up ‘I predict a riot’ just as it kicks off at the bar. The following scene was straight out of a Benny Hill show chase. one lad runs past us to the front door and disappears, eagerly followed by 6 blokes followed by their girlfriends. they then come back to find the troublemaker had come in through the back door , so they chased him back out of it, but followed him all the way round and back in the front door. All to said tune , surreal, yet very funny as we were pretty much ignored during the procession
  15. They’re listing them on their website for £3195….so they’re gonna need to be hand built IMO. It mentions that they are ‘USA Master Series’, but stops short of saying where they’re built. Edit: Had to dig, but elsewhere on the site it states that “The Master Series lineup is designed and crafted in Southern California”. Si
  16. The P bass purchase to end P bass GAS once and for all I reckon 😍 Lovely playing as well
  17. Yeah I think it’s a good price for a good jazz bass. But it’s not a Fender so probably that’s one reason…
  18. Excellent condition Fender Jazz fitted with new Fender Hi-Mass bridge assembly and strung with new Thomastik Infeld flats. Schaller strap lock buttons fitted. This bass has one cosmetic mark due to stand storage, the finish is not broken (see photo). Set up with a low action, it plays and sounds great.
  19. Boxed, in very good condition. Home use only, great piece of kit but surplus to requirements. Price includes a printed manual and UK postage.
