Aah, not quite that simple - I lived in a basement flat in a village a bit outside Taunton for a while (hence 'hobbit'), & I now live on the coast in West Somerset, but kept the name. I don't know any of the pubs in Taunton - sorry ! 😎

Yes it can. It's just held in its snug fit so you can put it where you want and you can reverse it so store your basses either way round.

Thank you. Managed to find the original receipt today. 21/12/79. 2112 day😁. I don’t hold out much hope really unless another photo or history link emerges but I live in hope.

I'm having a rethink of my amp set up to suit my current needs. New band etc... First up is my excellent TD650 amp. This is my main amp and I'm not really 100% about selling it but basically I don't really need such big gear now. It's in great condition and comes with its Gator 3U gig bag. Second is my remaining lightweight (19Kg) Neo Line 2x10 cab. 4 Ohm 500w Also, my Proline 1x15 (400w 4Ohm) cab. Very tidy condition. No tweeter in this, just big bassey thump. Works great with one of the 2x10s. Collection or meet only (within reasonable distance). Located in St Helens Merseyside and happy doing a 100 mile round trip if you bung us a few fuel tokens! A very enjoyable day indeed. Thanks for organising Rob, and thanks to you and your daughter for catering so wonderfully. My bacon butty on arrival was just what I needed, along with the plentiful supply of tea, Yorkshire tea, in a real teapot an all. Without tea, I think I might die. It was great to meet everyone too, the time flew by. It was good to see and hear such a variety of instruments, amplifiers and effects, and to get to try them out. My favourite bass, well I really liked @LukeFRC's Bravewood P bass. Also that GK amp which @GreeneKing had kept hidden all day until the end. The cab shootout was also interesting for me, I liked the BC 12" cab a lot, again @LukeFRC had brought that. But there was so much that was new to me and unfamiliar, I'm going to have to widen my horizons. Cheers, Rob
