  2. Does your amp have one or two toneprint slots? The older ones inly have one, but the newer have two and you need a three button switch to go between them.
  3. The Robben Ford version of Politician
  4. I've got one of those. And the massive case. It has the best ergonomics of any bass. usually in "jazz" mode = even pickup balance and coil tap, lovely clear tone, great for slapping and tapping too. I'd wanted a 5 string, and a wenge neck, but dolphins are so rare you just have to grab what comes up! Enjoy.
  5. Sorry to hear you feel like that Keith. There are some similarly minded musicians around in the area though. I’ve come across a few of them. Unfortunately, I haven’t kept up with them because I am not in that league as a musician. That’s why I am still doing blues and covers bands 😀. I am sure if you keep looking you are going to find them. I’ll keep my ear to the ground and pass on the details of any that I come across.
  6. I’ve got some of these for sale (advertised here, and I pay subs, etc!)
  7. Had a Stomp (twice!). Will defo be checking out the MS-60B+ ie the souped up version of the 2013 MS-60B
  8. Korg Kronos 2 88 weighted piano keys, in excellent condition, 9 synth engines, large colour touch screen, karma engine, RH3 piano keybed, superb synthesizer. 25kg, I have a suitable box if you wish to organise a courier. specs https://www.korg.com/us/products/synthesizers/kronos2/page_2.php
  9. You'll need medium length strings. My Italia bass is short scale but needs medium length strings because of how the bridge is designed.
  10. Hey @Skinner, is this still available? I might be interested if so
  11. Cioks DC7 for £120. Unused in box, with all box 'candy'. Superb deal in my opinion.
  12. You pair it with the plethora and some pedals, but not the amps
  13. When tou click that, you'll see this screen. See how it says "toneprints fir bass amps" Click the effect and toullcsee beam to amp. Hold that up to the pickups while tour bass is plugged in
  14. There is a lot of that sort of thing - I have spent a lot of time avoiding blues groups and everything. i am in a pub rock band and that is ok, but it wouldn't be my first choice, and there isn't a lot of what I want to do around, but there are people who want to do different stuff, and maybe you just specifically have to look for them. Get the music sorted and then maybe the venue comes later.
  15. I've just started to learn Holiday in Cambodia - not massively complicated but it's got a kick like an angry Shetland pony.
  16. Make sure toure choosing that
  17. No. Nit paired at all. Make sure youre selecting the amp not the pedal for the toneprint list Hold on one sec
  18. I did some quick and dirty recording of it. Deets - G&L Tribute LB-100 bass going through a Boss TU-2, Hotone Harmony pitch shifter/harmonizer, Yamaha CO-10 MII compressor, Joyo Monomyth preamp/OD. DI out from Monomyth with a slight low mid boost and cab sim on.
  19. I bought a Boss CE-1, a real one, not a reissue, for a hundred quid about twenty five years ago. I sold it for £250 five or so years later.... Should have held onto it and sold it in the last few years.
  20. Best buy was my Vox AC-50 amp, which I got together with a Vox VR-115, for £150 in the early '90s. Granted, it was by no means a bargain for me at the time, as I think I was only earning about £70 a month. I still have both items, and the amp now goes for considerably more than what I paid for it, but I love it, so I'm not gonna part with it. Mark
  21. Byron Lee. Iconic for me in particular as I am only familiar with his stuff on the Soca scene. I only knew him as 'Byron Lee and the Dragonaires'. My dad had a record player, but only like 3 records I just remember two. One was a Salsoul Christmas record, and the other a Byron Lee (my initial interest had nothing to do with the album art as a young boy of course 😜 ). And some of those Soca tunes are ingrained in us, play that in any Fete and the crowd will just feel it!
  22. Is the app paired with the bh250? can you show me the app screen where it says “connected device”? Mine is blank
  23. Today
  24. If I don’t get on with mine when it arrives (in November), I’ll bring it back to the UK with me and your son can have it at cost if he’s still interested then.
