  4. Has the mains plug for the amp been checked? If there's been a cross-connection of live or neutral with earth, it can cause this.
  5. Hi mate did you find a fix for this I'm having the same issue and have tried everything, had the bass and amp checked and my plug sockets, been looking all over Google for someone with the same issue

  7. This post is pretty similar to one I made in this thread back in 2020! I have new songs to learn with synth sounds, and this means my trusty V1 (V3.61 software) will be gigging again. So I stumbled back on this thread and I'm I'm delighted to see there is now a V4. I'm also very happy to see that the V4 has modern chips so here is a wish list: 'Midi Note Out' - The V4 'CV Out' so gives me a bit of hope. Many more FLEXI controllers. I have a ton of midi controllers that transmit CC messages so it would be great to tweak patches at a gig without having to plug a computer in.
  8. Five days later and my pedal has made it as far as Chicago O’Hare airport. USPS seem to work at the same speed as Parcelfarce on this side of the pond.
  9. Not an ignorant question, yes I could, but I actually feel like I’m missing some gain in my signal so turning down would just make the problem worse.
  10. I have a TC Plethora X3 in the loop, but I struggle with the peak signal flashing constantly with the gain set at about 11 o’clock with a passive P bass, whether there are effects engaged or not. I’d have expected the loop to only show on the post peak?
  11. Stunning - As the OP said, one of the finest Precision shaped objects money can buy.
  12. Saw them a few years ago and that bass of his sounded phenominal. I had the ES-335 and can agree that it is a superb bass.
  13. 😅 I'm sure you're right, but I literally can't stand having to use desktop editors or midi to change settings. I've owned a Quad Cortex for years now and still haven't once opened the desktop interface. 36 going on 76 😎
  14. Perhaps he's trying to sell to someone he already knows, but it has to look like a random punter? Which probably means he's not really selling.
  15. Back in the day (a few years ago now...), I went over quite a few posts, when requested by Members, making posts legible again, and it was a slog each time (I did, normally, a whole topic at a time...). Some info, though, just was no longer there (notably photos...), so the absolute value was limited. I doubt that there's much, if any, value to be added with what's left, and, in my view, it would be difficult to write a robot script to do it, as there was quite a bit of interpretation involved. Feasible for a 'one-off' request, on the understanding that it might not be possible at all, given the time passed since those updates. Douglas
  16. Really Dig The PENNSYLVANIA 6-5000 reference! 🤙
  17. Thanks, guys! No problem, Richard. I'm prepared! 🤧 That's a good idea. I already saw some basses and amps listed here that caught my attention. Have a good one!
  18. Just bought a wonderful Sire v7 fretless. This has come with a set of Daddario chromes flatwounds, but I intend to use light rounds on this bass due to hand issues, which I I've bought so these are surplus. Gauge 45- 132 beefy B string, they'll fit any jazz/p style/musicman 5. They've been used (but not much) so settled but still full of life, the silks are immaculate and as new. £35 posted to your door (uk only)
  19. Well that’s tasty! How’s the Pod? I think this one was released recentlyish?
  20. Hey Now... Thanks for all the welcomes... I apologize... i walked away for a while and didn't realize I was still logged in... wasn't ignoring anyone... Here's what I put in my profile, I haven't gotten round to uploading photos, I never really did much of that kind of thing. I always felt like I was being pretentious or something similar.... PLAYING BASS SINCE 1982 '82 P Bass - Black/Maple (bought it new @ 15 yrs old) '98 SR5 H Black/Maple '12 SR5 Classic H Special Edition: Active/Passive, Black/BE Maple '15 SR5 Classic H Black/Rose '17 Jazz Bass Am Pro V Black/Maple '24 Pbass V Am Pro II 3TSB/Rosewood '04 Ampeg SVT 3 Pro (USA) - Ampeg PR410hlf QSC: GX5 Sunn Coliseum 300 - Acoustic 406 2x15 As for "what" do I play? as in Music? Pretty much anything but "Country" or high end Jazz.. I'm "capable physically" of ripping fusion Jazz solos...it never appealed to me, to play.... Although... I do love it. I started Trombone 8 yrs old then bagged it for Bass... I bought my Pbass in '82... I still have it... COUNTLESS THOUSANDS of hours on that Bass... My War Horse ha.. I cut my early Bass teeth on records Sabbath, Maiden, Yes, Rush, Zeppelin, Zappa, Hendrix, The Who, Motown, Stevie Wonder & Lot's of 70's slap funk!! Entwistle, Geezer & Squire were my favs to learn from...
  21. Still got the original screw, yup, and I think you're right about the insides of the hole getting chewed up. My problem at the minute is that I'm not sure the replacement screw is performing it's job of holding the neck in place adequately, given that it's gonna have at least 5mm less exposure to the neck. It looks like the replacement screw is an 8 x 2" (50mm), and it's an 8 x 2 1/4" (55mm) that's needed. Both the ebay links provided there only list 50/60mm screws. Think a 60mm would be in danger of breaching the fretboard, may well have to look at filiing one down then. Cheers folks, the search continues.
  22. The problem with the mezzos is that the width of the neck hasn't changed, so your issue wouldn't be any different.
  23. Not as the moment, it would be a lot of work and noone has ever asked about it that I am aware of. As a background task I might look into the feasibility of it, but as a high risk, high effort and low reward task, I certainly wouldn't provide any promises on it.
