  1. Past hour
  2. There was no question of rule breaking, there was just a question as to what work has been done on the bass. One that still stands.
  3. Especially when the gig wasn't that great... Happened to us a few times.
  4. Awesome!!! 🤘🤘🤘
  5. Not solid walnut burl but walnut rear-wings. And yes, standard 1.64 nut.
  6. No more arguing the point here please. The seller has not broken any rules. If you have questions for him, then do it via messaging.
  7. Ref! Low punch! 😂
  8. This is such a beautiful bass. I am so sorry I am left handed! GLWTS
  9. Also released as 'In Trio', this six track album is a massive favourite for me. I want to do some transcriptions off it but, despite having had the LP on vinyl, I cannot find it anywhere as an MP3/download. I could buy the cd but I actually need the MP3 for the transcription so I can put it through the Moises app and the Transcribe! to slow it down. I don't have the gear necessary to convert a cd to an MP3 so simply buying a cd doesn't solve the problem. Has anyone got an MP3 of this album they could share? I understand it is an iffy request but my intentions are honourable. If I could get a download commercially, I would but none of my sources work (NB I cannot buy from iTunes as my account is locked and they have been unable to help me unlock it - I am not sure if they have it but no-one else seems to). I would love to transcribe the whole thing if I can. Can anyone help?
  10. Utter bullshít bad marketing strategy: The transition logo appeared when the acknowledgement to sell or buy, depending where you are, the company was official, so very late 1964 to very early 1965, not 2 to 3 years before. 🤦🏻 Quite expensive for what it's not and I agree with the refinish, Tony.

  12. Yes...thx for your interest...Bernard
  13. My post will be removed shortly then. Still, this sale post is incredibly brazen.
  14. I saw that last night, I believe there are a few matching headstock precisions in existence but I don’t think I’ve ever seen one up close, first glance it looks like a refinish to me
  15. The question is legitimate. If someone interprets it to be in regard to the prior price vs the current price, then so be it. But there is absolutely a genuine question to be asked as to what work has been done.
  16. Looks like good news @LeftyJ...
  17. Thanks - hadn't spotted that!
  18. This is my exact point. It isn't fair to question it. Forum market place rules state this.
  19. Not using those words, no. But anyone reading the posts will automatically see the implied criticism and if you are trying to say that isn't what you meant you are fibbing
  20. I'm a little sceptical of Alex's choice of the extra compact Markbass JB combo for this comparison. One of the larger format MB single 15 cabs would've been a fairer comparison to the BF. Anyhow, my one single 15 cab is a Trace Elliot compact 15 ( can't recall the exact product reference number ATM) loaded with that Fane axiom driver. It sounds absolutely beautiful and I've gigged it in medium sized venues successfully for rock covers, no problems with being heard.
  21. Yes, my 1980s Squier JV Jazz, which is a similar vintage to the OP's Fender, and a copy of a 60s bass, is wired the same. I reckon Leo figured it wouldn't matter with the giant ashtray over the top hiding it. EDIT - mine is the same size and look as Clarky's original example, not as wide and shiny as the OPs.
  22. I don't believe anyone has asked why the price is what it is. My question was to ask A: If it indeed was the same bass, and B: what work was done to it if it is the same bass. Both absolutely legitimate questions. The work done and/or any information as to upgrades, pickup swaps, hardware changes etc. is worth knowing.
  23. Edit: self-edited as against forum rules
