That's a tough one. Are you using wireless? My other thoughts: Barrel jack connections, are they ok?

Up for sale is my beautiful 1991 Godin Acoustibass, handcrafted in Canada - The original model with LR Baggs electronics, which is far superior to the later A4 and A5 models. It's a wonderful instrument that is in excellent condition. Only selling, as in my current rock band, it does not get enough usage and It hurts to see it unplayed and untouched. It features a single piece chambered black mahogany body with aged white binding, a solid spruce top, a hard maple neck, and an ebony fingerboard. The lightweight semi-hollow body has a special resonating system built into the body – a series of metal pins that resonate with the body to give it a more organic timbre. The electrics are provided by the LR Baggs preamp, that boosts the piezo pickup sound, with a volume control and a 3-band equalizer. It sounds as close to an actual double bass as you can get and in this respect is in a league of its own. The bass has been serviced in 2022, at which point the pre-amp sliders were cleaned, amp electrolytic capacitors were replaced, and the jack socket was replaced by a superior product. The amp is clean, hum-free and operating very well. Currently setup with flat wound strings with very nice low action. There are 2 or 3 very small marks near the preamp, which I tried to show in the picture. Other than that the bass is near mint. These basses are extremely rare, and you will struggle to find a copy like this. Comes with its original hard case. The case has some surface marks (see pictures), but is otherwise in fine condition. Also note, that the pre-amp runs on a 9 volt battery, that you can access by unscrewing and lifting the amp cover. When the battery is dead, it will not have an output. It's currently working fine. Note that I am originally from Holland, and that's where the bass was bought. Hence the sticker next to the serial number. I verified the serial number with Godin and it was confirmed this is a 1991 built. Not bass related, but Keefs “Life” is excellent.

I’ve got Elton John’s biog somewhere. Need to dig that out before my hols. Can recommend Duff McKagan’s biog, Flea’s excellent “Acid for the Children” and Johnny Marr’s “Set the boy free.”

I had the Staccato and RH750 and had no problems with either. Forget the silly press on the power amp figures, my amps were easily as loud as claimed. I finally decided the TC sound wasn't for me and moved to Aguilar. I found "The" tone with a TH500.

Led Into Zeppelin - obviously a Led Zep tribute based in West Yorks / Lancashire, playing 20 or so gigs a year all over the country. Formed long before I joined, exactly four years ago (almost to the day). There have been a variety of different line-ups (some good, some not so great), but the current band is really good and seems pretty settled. Originally, I was asked to dep by the guitarist BL (who I knew vaguely from playing the blues circuit), but they asked me to join full time after a couple of gigs. Since then, I have brought in a new singer and keys player. I've also got an 'occasional' blues band that only plays a couple of times a year (due to how busy a couple of members are), and I do the odd dep for blues bands and sometimes the originals band led by the girlfriend of the guitarist from the Zep band.
