I think the thing I like about Danny is beyond the brash Yorkshire humour is a genuine love for music. I do enjoy his deep dives into some of the ridiculous stuff that’s happening in the music industry, glad someone’s talking about it and not dancing around the subject.

That does look good... Very tempting.... Spent an hour before torrential rain hit (again) Glue front and back panel Route the edges so there's a nice curve Nice 6mm routing bit makes this dead easy (as previously suggested) Solder speaker wire to the speaker Fill and sand any problems. Paint front baffle matt black. Take off side handles and rear speakon panel, and paint the wood matt black. I'll mask this area off before the Armacab goes on. Assemble, check all OK Check it all works. Wait for warm weather to do the Armacab. - July 2027?

The bit in the earlier video when the nauseating couple were banging on about moving to LA and being in the Tesla and waving some toxic energy drink around was truly horrendous. Sadly, this is the dreadful world that social media has brought us to, and these parasites will grow undeservedly rich from it.

Thanks Kodiak I will give them a look. In the mean time I located the template on the useful things shelf in the garage and used the router to cut the rough shape of the inner body block. There is still lots of tidying up on the front and back to get the shape flat enough plus I need to remove excess glue from the initial glue up of the blank. I now need to order the walnut top and some light coloured veneer for laminating. The back is coming out of a nice pice of hard wood shelving that I rescued from a local skip, not sure quite what the wood is but it is a nice deep red colour with a pleasing grain and very hard, so perfect for fending off belt buckle rash. Hopefully I can get that planed down to the required thickness and sanded over the festive break.

Here's the grille I've got - perforated aluminium sheet, 10mm holes, with the speaker on top to give a good idea of scale.

The boyfriend is such a shill it’s embarrassing. He’s a parody.
-
Somewhat hurt response? Somewhat calculated, more like. Little to no make-up and, most unusually for her, no flesh on display (Danny jibed at her making videos in her underwear). Yes, she's an exceptional musician. She's also a grade A grifter - the amount of product placement in the video she and the boyfriend made that Danny went to town on was ridiculous.

Just bought a lovely Jazz bass from Mick - second attempt at a try-out after I suffered a serious attack of the Running Snots. Mick is a proper gent, and we could easily have whiled away the entire afternoon chatting!

It's certainly in COBOL - COMPUTE statement. IIRC it's also in FORTRAN although it's 55 years since I used that. BASIC used ^.

Cancelled. Friday night, turned up to the pub for 7:30pm as agreed with the owner at 11:30am by text, to find 30 or so people still eating and drinking in the band area of the pub. Duty Manager (amazingly, the actual Manager was nowhere to be found) told us they'd had a funeral/wake group come in about four, and they were still there. Apparently there'd been a cancellation text to our BL about 4:30pm, which he hadn't seen. I mean, I get it: that's 30 meals plus probably 120 drinks extra, or pay the band. Turns out they'll be doing both...the BL's furious and he'll be all over them tomorrow. Still, an early night, and we'll get paid (BL's enthusuastically litigious)...eventually.

Yeah I regularly curse myself for missing that one. Just didn’t have the cash at the time. -
Yeah, it's all relative, but 3.67kgs isnt lightweight for me any more, I'm looking down around the 3kg mark these days...it's a shame...
