warwickhunt started following Combining two bass signals together?
-
I'm not sure what your ultimate goal is but have you considered a simple A/B/Y pedal that runs to pathways but instead of blending them back to a mono signal, source an amp that has an attenuated (ie you can adjust the level via a potentiometer) 2nd input or effects loop return. Path A goes into the amp main input and path B goes in via the 2nd input/effects return. I have such an amp and in the past I've run a totally unaffected (clean) signal into the front and I've put an effected chain with a bit of drive/chorus etc into the rear effects; I blend in the rear effects to suit. I suppose you could put a volume pedal at the end of the effects chain to blend to suit.

Loremil started following Pedaltrain Nano

Pedaltrain Nano in excellent condition, except for marks left due to repositioning a screwed-in power supply multiple times. These are superficial aesthetic marks and and don't compromise the integrity of the board. Can remove velcro if preferred. Dimensions: 14 in x 5.5 in x 1.4 in (35.5 cm x 14 cm x 3.5 cm) Weight: .7 lbs (0.3 kg) Shipment at buyer's expense or collection in East, North, or Central London. Thanks for looking.

Still boggles my mind that body shapes designed from the ground up for headless still have the tuners sticking out like that.
-
I'm not a huge fan but a while ago I read an interview with Alex Lifeson where he was talking about how him & Geddy still hang out as friends and play music together on a regular basis. If they still love playing and they have an audience that wants to see it then it makes perfect sense for them to tour again.

Westone "The Rail" Bass - DOA - Now a minimal bass

And it's all gone wrong. 😩 The primary aim of this build was to get a better finish on the body. As its 3d printed you get little layer lines and large join lines. The layer lines are caused by building the body up in layers between 0.1mm and 0.2mm high. The thinner the line, the longer it takes. Currently all the bits take around 36 hours to print. As nobody makes a large enough decent printer to do a bass body in a single pass, it has to be made in sections and joined. If anybody thinks RatRig does one, they don't. Had a number of discussions with them and they were not hopeful. So the intention of this build was to focus on finishing quality. I've been experimenting with various finishes and one that I thought might work hasn't really and so the body I made looks bad so back to the drawing board. I'll use the opportunity to try out a different build method so that if things do go wrong, I won't lose the whole body next time. One step forward, half a step back. Rob -
ABY pedal is most likely without buffers, so some kind of signal degradation is possible. Parallel processing is very doable, but when you mix both loops together, there may be issues like phase difference, and therefore some signal degradation, again. Parallel loops require some testing. Have you considered biamped systems: upper band is usually heavily processed (distortions, chorus...) while the low band has less effects (compressor), but clear lows. This can be mimicked with a X-over (Rolls is a low cost unit) in a single amp system.

Looking at installing a pair of Widdershins Ziggurat pickups in my Dunable, they can be coil split. Control layout at the moment is Vol/Vol/Tone. I'd like to be able to split each pickup individually. Can I run push/pull pots on both volume controls to be able to split pickups one at a time? If so do I just wire the volumes together 'normally' from the lugs (output from pots like attached diagram)? Thanks!

So from that… finally got a spare evening and did the first stage of rebuilding … yes the octabass will fit in that gap, no it’s not going on as the hx stomp model is pretty good… so it’s empty. We all know nature, and this thread, abhors a vacuum…

Meta Guitars' Pragma Bass - lovely build materials and no doubt excellent quality, but a €5000 starting price and is anyone else reminded of a contemporary executioner's Axe..? It's lightweight too, at 6.6lbs.
