I think getting to grips with the tone stack is a big thing with these, when I had one I couldn’t get anything from it that I liked, turns out I just didn’t know about the way it was set up. I’ve used them since and now - thanks to Basschat - I understand them it’s easy enough to get great sounds, especially with a pick.

I haven’t worn my wedding ring for many years because I became sensitised to the nickel in it. But it was always slightly uncomfortable as I have slightly webby fingers!

Not for me. I just don't get on with any jewelry. I love watches but can never keep one on for more than a few hours. I tried various rings over the years but am always too conscious of them. My dad will be celebrating 60 years of marriage this year and he hasn't worn the ring since the wedding day! He doesn't like the feeling.

Not bad at all, installed a new mic last week and spent a couple of hours getting used to it, it's the UAD modelling mic and it brings quite a different range of tones to the party... -
My feelings 100%. I do prefer the IE400, but after using the IE100 for almost a year without realising they were swapped with the IE100 by the mistake, id have no hesitation using either and wouldn't look elsewhere except customs. I have very flat ears though.

I tried one a few years back but I was a finger style player and it sounded dark I’m now a pick player playing rock on a PBass so I think the dark tone will come alive with a pick and at volume I had the Eich T900 and it’s a great amp

+1 for the IE100. I have the IE100, IE400 and IE500 and they are really comfortable and isolation is really good. They are the most comfortable in ears I have and they sound really really good. I fell in the more drivers might be better trap and if the driver is good, it doesn't matter if it has only one.

It took me a while to get used to mine but I don't notice it most of the time now. Sometimes I'll hear it hit on the frets a little if playing unplugged. Not an issue though.

As soon as I got my wedding ring, I found it seriously uncomfortable to play whilst wearing it. Haven't gigged wearing it for a very long time.

There are cheaper tips available. I like Comply but have also use the cheaper ones with good results. Comply also do various shapes as well as sizes. Lots of options to try. Id also look at the Sennheiser IE100’s (before getting the 215’s) which a few of us like. These are low profile and you might find the fit a bit better as there can be less pull due to them not having less bulk. Although single driver they sound full and punchy.

Wore a wedding band for years without problems but then found I was getting a ganglion regularly just to the right of the ring finger of my left. Moved the ring (with Mrs Bats blessing) to my right hand and alls been well since…

I don’t have a problem with it either, but we’re all different. One band mate used to take his off and put it on a necklace while gigging. Seemed a sensible solution.

I am popping this back up for sale, as I've decided I prefer headed basses, with a very skinny nut. The funds will go towards a headed fretless 6 string ACG to compliment my recently acquired ACG fretted 6er, therefore no trades please. Here we have an immaculate ACG Krell SC E Type, a stunning example of ACG's work. This is a 6 string, tuned B to C, headless, set-neck construction. The scale length is 31.5" and the playability is incredible, the low B is musical and lacks nothing compared to long scale basses. As you will see from the design at the "head end", the strings are held in with grub screws so you can use any strings you want, you are not tied to double ball end strings. This is probably the most beautiful bass I have ever owned, and probably ever will, but sadly needs must. Official listing on the ACG site here >> https://acguitars.co.uk/project/0288-krell-e-type-fretless-6-31-5/ Here's a video of some noodles >> Specs as follows >> Top Wood: Fractal Birch Body Core: White Limba, 55mm thick and Chambered Accent: Purpleheart Body Finish: Satin Lacquer Neck: 3-piece Purpleheart/Wenge with asymmetrical profile Fingerboard: Mac Ebony with Pearwood fretlines at 1/3/5etc Purpleheart in the rest and flat/zero radius Scale: 31.5″ Neck Finish: Satin Lacquer Pickups: ACG FB pickups (stacked sidewinder style humbuckers, wired in parallel, hand wound by Aaron Armstrong) Hardware: ETS tuning/Bridge unit, ACG Headpiece, Dunlop Dual Design Straplocks La Bella RX Nickel Strings (30-130) Pre-amp: ACG DFM 4K (This is the full fat flagship ACG filter preamp) Nut width: 54mm Bridge Spacing: 16.5mm The bass comes with a top of the range Fusion F1 guitar sized gigbag, also in mint condition and a perfect fit, these things retail over £200 and are comparible to the top of the range Mono bags The bass is in perfect condition, never been gigged, home use only. Price is £1900 ono, no trades please. I am selling a 6 string headless ACG in another ad, and I would be willing to do a deal on these as a pair. UK only, but will consider an EU based sale. Shipping, with insurance at buyer's expense. More photos here >> https://photos.app.goo.gl/Losr8JTh3kL6o4iHA I will sort out a proof of ownership photo ASAP. Cheers, Eude
