  2. Hi Neko, looks like at least the concept exists! I will keep searching for something more plug and play
  3. Bought on a whim, im really not a pedal man. When i have too many knobs to twiddle i spend more time messing than playing. Can send in UK if i can get some packing stuff together. Great working condition and the RPD (ric, precision, drive) labels will pull straight off
  4. Looks good. My panels needed to fit in a certain orientation as well. I appear to have made the back panel flush so if I put any foam behind it, the panel would stick out so am contemplating what to do. I could route a 1.5mm ish recess around the back panel so I could put foam in. Not sure on foam stripes, wadding or cross brace. Advice seems varied on whether it will help. I suspect we both have the same offcuts so the cross braces seem easy to do though. Suspect the weather won't be good here so might be Saturday before I do anything else. Let's see how yours goes. Rob
  5. I replaced the elephant tuners on my Belgrado with lollipops. Big improvement, if you ask me. There are more tuners on the way for my De Gier bass.
  6. A lot of bass for the money. GLWTS.
  7. Today
  8. Speaker paint ordered from Penn Elcomm, I should have some Blue Aran rollers knocking around as well as black spray paint.
  9. That Carvin B4 at £450 is a steal, shame about the thumb rest mods though and the bridge is also a cheap replacement. It will probably have originally had a nice Hipshot B style which looks much better: https://fenderfever.com/products/1?_pos=63&_fid=cdb17b57b&_ss=c
  10. I've got one of these; it plays really nicely, sounds good. Definitely punches above its weight.
  11. Lovely bass, if i had the bunsen I'd jump on this (not literally!).
  12. I bought a bass from him recently, no issues at all, I found his prices totally reasonable and it was an easy transaction. I went over to his shop, tiny place full of cool / odd / rare Fenders, lots of MIJ stuff that you don’t see often in the UK.
  13. I'd be waiting for the next set of Ultralites to appear in the Marketplace. Guyker do some alternatives at various price points and hole diameters. A couple here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005010061436369.html https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005008360034080.html
  14. I've got a Double Trolley by Marc Grue. I got it broken and have mended it to be in usuable condition. I found this unusable, where the wheels were bent, and the wheel frame did no fit the stool, and the latch under the seat snapped and a few other problems. I've put a new latch on and rebent the frame, cleaned it up and tighten some loose parts so that it is in good working condition. I've have tried and tested a couple of times going to and from, and at rehearsals. This is a trolley which helps move your bass around and conveniently doubles up as a stool. Tyres hold pressure, and will require a bungee to fasten to your bass. Find out more about it here: https://doubletrolley.com/index.php Due to the size of the item, I would prefer not to post. Can meet halfway or deliver if not too far away. I can provide more pictures on request. Open to offers. Thank you

  15. That's OK. I'd found the Penn Elconn website but the page I found had massive quantities for massive prices. That's a lot more like it, I'll get some black ordered. In order to escape Antiques Roadshow, I did more cab building. Previously I'd got the battens on the side panels so now it was just a case of sticking the side panels onto the bottom, then putting on the top. Then see how well the front and rear panels fit. I tried the rear panel first. It didn't fit in one way up, so I reversed it and it popped straight in. Slight gap but the rear panel is destined to be fixed in place so there will be some filler going in there. Then the front panel - I think I'll be doing as Phil suggests and screwing this in place with 3mm thick neoprene adhesive strip 10mm wide round the joint. The fit was nice and snug. Having done that, I went round the top and bottom panels putting the cross battens in place. To do: cut hole for speaker, fix rear panel, make and fit cross brace, put wadding in, round over edges, fit front panel, paint, add corners, add handle, wire connectors, install speaker.

  17. Im about to move into a new flat and basically need everything 🤣 so a few odds and ends will find their way up for sale. This is a fantastic pedal, a licensed version of the vaunted Bugbrand bugcrusher which is very expensive. Its a sample rate reducer with clean blend and one of the most musical ive ever tried. It took me ages to find one used, but i lterally use it on two tunes with a band that rarely gigs, so up it goes. Its in fantastic condition with a lovely sparkly silver finish, its got velcro on the bottom, no box unfortunately. £95 incl UK only delivery

  18. Trip to Edinburgh with the 9 piece band SHOUT! Played at STRAMASH. Great venue packed with mainly young lads and lassies! It's a student area so no surprise. Stage was ok. There is 9 of us as mentioned so it can get a bit tight at times. I managed to clout one of the singers in the back of the head....but no damage to the bass which was a Godin Classic Shifter. Nice to have some free beer and water as well! Back there in January and looking forward to it! SHOUT! Rescue Me.mp4
  19. Good to hear! Which ones do you have?
  20. I’ve had an LFSys Monza for a few weeks now. Last Saturday, it finally got to come along for the first time. Every now and then, you plug something in and instantly know: this is right. The Monza gave me that feeling. Yes, bass amplification is evolving, but this cabinet sets an exceptionally high bar for the competition. A bass cabinet can be simple or high-tech; the real art is making it sound natural. An LFSys cabinet must come from a brilliant mind, because creating something like this requires advanced mathematics that almost bends the laws of physics. This is an extraordinary bass guitar cabinet. That said, you can love any well-made cab—or at least find it good enough. It’s not about competition, about what’s better and why; we’ve all moved far beyond that. It’s about what you enjoy and which gear helps you best achieve your specific goal. The Monza does that for me. And then takes it up a notch. How loud and how deep does it go? This is a cabinet that can do everything needed during a loud jam or rehearsal to lay down a solid, well-founded bass. The LFSys Monza is a technical marvel. You wouldn’t expect speaker design to advance so rapidly in this day and age, yet here we are. Compact, lightweight, and astonishingly powerful, the Monza combines cutting-edge engineering with a tonal quality that sets an exceptionally high standard for the competition.
  21. The way Google’s current, headline, AI précis works, we’ll end up with a large fish on the headstock.
  22. selling my incredible 1975 Musicman HD130 amp. Bought this back in 2021 and had a flight case made it for it straight away. Was serviced just before I bought it as well. Sounds amazing.

  23. Played a private members club last night, didn’t know what to expect as they normally have old school R&B and classic rock type acts. Still they seemed to enjoy it and got another booking for next year so all’s good. Had a major faux pas just before soundcheck when I discovered I’d packed the wrong strap, the one without strap locks, had to do a quick dash home (fortunately only 5 miles on this occasion)…..I found out how nippy the go kart mode was on the Mini Cooper S. Starry night shorty stingray and the normal silver converse. Banana between the 2 sets and a post gig Glen Morangie.
  24. Sounds like what I had a couple of weeks ago that led to my current chest infection. Take it seriously and treat yourself kindly, a mate has just ended up in hospital with pneumonia after a similar bug.
  25. Hope you’re feeling better matey. Can remember doing a gig once with a raging UTI and had to keep a bucket next to my cab….good times 🤣🤣🤣
