I succumbed to my urge to get a jazz…and negotiated a significant discount from list. It comes with ashtray and pickup cover. I was surprised to find a CoA in the case - i thought that was a custom shop only thing. I haven’t told my band yet but I’m looking forward to their reaction at the next rehearsal whenever that might be….i suspect it’s not black enough for them.

Those weights are absolutely insane. I wonder if the quoted units are wrong, though? If the 112 actually weighs 23.4 pounds, that would be around 10kg which sounds like a more reasonable figure.

Being a prog rock fan, I can't decide whether to aim for 5/8ths decent or 7/8th decent. 😂 -

I was going to ask about the pickup in the original Fender Musicmasters. Was it a proper bass pickup, or just a Strat pickup, like in the recent Squier re-releases? There seems to be a healthy market in proper bass pickup replacements that will fit without modification. I just put a Tone Rider split P in the Squier I had a few years back. It sounded great but it required quite a lot of modification to the body and a custom made scratchplate to accommodate it. -
I would LOVE Spencer to have the gall to ridicule Darkglass for copying HIM 😅

@HeadlessBassist might be interesting.

Just tried the latest Anagram update. The Doom2 is insane! I’ve owned alot of it and in different versions and is one of my fave pedals of all time. They really nailed it and love the synthy fuzz it does. Very cheeky with the design though, curious to know what Spencer thinks.

I get my ears hoovered out regularly, currently that's every 2 years. While you are there get some ACS moulds done and save the rest of your hearing.

If you genuinely need the money or the space the decision should really be made for you. If not, why consider it? They bring you pleasure, keep them. -

Price Drop to £80 Having replaced this very lightly used (never left our smoke free home) Roland Vdrum kickpad with the the extortionate KDQ-8, this is no longer required. So it's up for grabs. If required, I could post it if we work out a price. It's in excellent condition and working perfectly, and I'll clean the dust off too (only just noticed !) Any questions, let me know.

They don't syringe now, rather they use micro-suction. Also, it is not done on the NHS anymore. Look around for a competent local person or even Specsavers. Around here, you can pay anything from £50 for two ears to £80+. It is a game changer, I need it done 5/6 times per year.

43 years and counting. You'd have thought I'd be half decent by now. 🙄

I tried a number of shorties at one point but did not find them comfortable for some reason, a shoulder injury meant I had to go down to a U Bass, and it was surprisingly good, as in usable. As it improved a bit, I tried my 34" and could reach the third fret, I calculated that to be like the first fret on a 30". Hence the arrival of a Hartwood Delta. I love it and will use it in anger for the first time at rehearsal on Sunday. -
+1. Kick is big bottom, not much low bass or mids, but with an upper midrange for the 'click'. Mids on the kick not only compete with the full mix, yourself included, they compete with the toms and snare.

This works if you have one. When you have three they’re often a source of discussion and disagreement, particularly when someone comes to stay.
